docs: migrate guides to the canonical PHP documentation flow - #29
Refs #31: source migration is complete; renderer integration remains an acceptance gate. Refs #1 and #2 cover broader extraction and consumer criteria.
Move nine superseded Markdown guides into one navigable tree of 23 RST pages. Preserve architecture, Container/override decisions, ownership, rule inventories, provenance, comparison tables, bootstrap boundaries and the complete Rector guide. Remove replaced Markdown and the Python/conf.py implementation; update README, AGENTS and navigation. Rendering uses the existing PHP DevTools/phpDocumentor/template flow, without importing authoring skills or adding a runtime DevTools dependency.
HEAD 90c633b30fbd1b890df4e7e5c76760fde2cccbfc normally merges main 26152a059961f2a670a2e4a567bf71cfd44ae189. Independent review confirms the 35-path diff SHA256 75d485045a3d02b3c4895d723f93540bf56553417a9777b33b7c5b5734e0d3ab and tree 2fce730a4fe36ecb1d1e49a921435956928a8f8a. All 23 pages are reachable with no orphan, missing toctree target or broken local source/image link; the new contributor-only Twig evaluation is indexed. Nine superseded Markdown guides remain removed, with unique content retained. Runtime, Composer/lock, tests, workflows and history match main exactly. README keeps unpinned installation and present-tense usage; Dash and archive settings are preserved. The ProcessResult subsection introduced by #67 is preserved in architecture.rst; narrative, tables and code blocks were compared with current main, and the superseded Markdown remains removed. This base reconciliation changes no runtime behavior. Current-head CI and Codex reviews were triggered normally and their results are pending at publication; earlier 0a91eb0 checks/reviews are historical and do not approve this new HEAD. CodeRabbit and renderer acceptance remain separate gates.
The complete quickstart integrated by #70 is preserved. The only skill change relative to current main updates its optional guide link from docs/rector.md to docs/rector.rst; the license remains identical to main. This final skill payload was validated again with official skills-ref. The consumer skill is self-contained, with an optional matched-source guide and an MIT LICENSE identical to the package license. It states the actual check/fix baseline and PHP/Composer requirements; refactor is conditional on the installed CLI's help because published v0.3.2 does not expose it. No silent upgrade is advised. Archive verification confirms skill, license, guide and Dash bytes are retained. Official format validation now passed on this exact payload with unmodified skills-ref 0.1.0 at agentskills/agentskills@69ef37e, exit 0, in a separate temporary environment. Installed validator modules match the pinned source; the PHP checkout is unchanged. This format pass does not qualify model activation, the external renderer or stale review coverage. Current-head CI and reviews remain separate gates.
The last actual published-template build on older 755c57b generated 70 pages and 3,953 references, with two missing targets: classes/Interop-Container-ServiceProviderInterface.html and graphs/classes.svg. No fresh rendered build is claimed for this HEAD. Interface resolution is proposed in php-fast-forward/phpdoc-bootstrap-template#18; native RED/GREEN, signed checkout/archive/consumer rendering and hosted matrix passed, but published template 2.2.2 lacks the fix.
The existing DevTools owner qualified graph-setting forwarding with 18 tests / 99 assertions and a real 4,255-byte SVG using unmodified phpDocumentor 3.9.1 filesystem code. The earlier CopyResourceCommand failure was reproduced on clean base84e1540 and traced to /var versus realpath /private/var. A complete normal aggregate with process-only canonical TMPDIR now passed 721 tests / 2,555 assertions, with zero errors, failures or warnings. The aggregate still exited 1: refactor proposed changes in 11 files, PHPDoc in 6 plus formatting, and style in 72; neither changed DocsCommand PHP file was flagged. No steps were omitted and no unrelated source was changed. The required hook gate remains red, so no commit/push/draft was published through it. The PHAR graph writer also cannot start PlantUML from its archive cwd; filesystem success does not qualify that consumer path, and no working published PHAR version was established.
Do not merge as an all-links-clean result or close#31 prematurely. No vendor patch, generated-HTML rewrite, replacement renderer, tag or release.
Added a Sphinx documentation site covering installation, quickstart, CLI commands, configuration, advanced integration, FAQs, and reference material.
Expanded guidance on GitHub Actions, workflow permissions, configuration safety, file selection, and checker/fixer behavior.
Added architecture, policy, preset, and comparison records, with navigation updated to point to the new documentation.
Clarified that checks focus on syntax and formatting and do not perform type analysis, application tests, or semantic migrations.
The pull request migrates package documentation into a navigable Sphinx guide. It adds installation, CLI, configuration, integration, and reference pages, updates documentation links, and records the local Sphinx build command.
Adds Sphinx configuration and guide indexes. Updates navigation links to the migrated records and adds a changelog entry.
Installation, CLI, and configuration guidance docs/getting-started/*, docs/usage/*, docs/faq.rst, docs/api/configuration.rst
Documents installation and compatibility, check and fix behavior, CLI selection and exit statuses, configuration callbacks, and composition responsibilities.
Integration and automation guidance docs/advanced/integration.rst, docs/automation.*
Documents workflow constraints, consumer adoption, skill discovery, cache and composition overrides, release procedures, and local Sphinx builds.
Architecture and policy records docs/architecture.*, docs/policy.*
Migrates records describing dependency boundaries, CLI and configuration contracts, implementation scope, comparisons, and backlog ownership.
Preset and analysis comparisons docs/resolved-preset.*, docs/legacy-fixer-comparison.*, docs/phpdoc-comparison.*, docs/static-analysis-evaluation.*
Migrates the preset inventory and comparison records, including evidence, validation notes, and limitations.
php-fast-forward/code-standards#16 — Changed CLI Container composition, which this pull request documents in its API, integration, and architecture guides.
The documentation is broadly usable, but readers may miss the guide and misconfigure the workflow trigger.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Only #31 is an active direct link. #1 and #2 are not linked targets, so their criteria do not apply. Requirements of #31 are documentation-only, so no runtime or test requirement applies.
Migration [#31]: At head, all eight Markdown files are absent: docs/architecture.md, automation.md, instruction-map.md, legacy-fixer-comparison.md, phpdoc-comparison.md, policy.md, resolved-preset.md and static-analysis-evaluation.md. Their .rst counterparts exist at head. Base-to-head file lists show no other removals.
Content preservation [#31]: Full read of docs/architecture.md (base) and docs/architecture.rst (head) shows the same sections and normative statements. The rst file is reflowed. The large line-count drop in the diff is wrapping, not omitted text. The rst file keeps the ServiceProvider/factories refinement (ServiceFactory, InvokableFactory, CallableFactory, Container 1.10.1). The other seven documents were not re-read. Their preservation rests on the author audit and the change summary.
Navigation and orphan check [#31]: docs/index.rst has a toctree that lists all eight migrated pages. The summary reports README and AGENTS links changed to .rst paths. Those two files were not re-read.
Retained content [#31]: docs/reference/legacy-fixer-inventory.json and .github/update-release-channels.md remain at head.
Non-coding constraints [#31]: Base-to-head file lists add only docs/*, docs/conf.py, and a changelog fragment. No workflow, action, or skill file is added or changed. This matches the requirement to avoid deployment, hosting, and authoring-skill import.
Strict build [#31]: The author reports a clean sphinx-build -n -W run. I did not re-run it. The toctree evidence supports the no-orphan claim.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
All changed paths are documentation, documentation configuration, navigation links, or a changelog fragment. No source, test, workflow, or resource file changed between base and head.
The eight migrated pages, docs/conf.py, and docs/index.rst implement the migration and navigation objectives of #31.
New guide pages (getting-started, usage, api, advanced, links, faq) go beyond pure migration. The PR description states that they are part of this PR. They support the navigable-structure objective of #31 and document existing behavior. This is a scope-size concern, not an unrelated change. The factual accuracy of these new pages against source code was not checked in this review.
The README and AGENTS link updates and the .changelog/sphinx-documentation.md fragment support the same documentation change.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is related to the changeset. It names the nine superseded Markdown guides being moved into an RST tree, the README/AGENTS navigation updates, removal of the Python/conf.py implementation, and the renderer flow. It is detailed and specific, with issue references, verification evidence, and open gates. It is not off-topic, so the check passes.

Please review current HEAD bdd0d56 against main648c57aa. It normally reconciles the published Rector guide and ECS13.3.9 metadata into the single RST tree, preserving unpinned present-tense README usage, removing replaced Markdown, and retaining all unique source content. Current PHP8.3/8.4/8.5, reusable check, Changelog and Codex code/security checks succeeded. Existing CodeRabbit coverage is for53fae1b, not this HEAD; no review run is active here. The two generated renderer targets remain explicitly unresolved and separately scoped, not hidden or claimed fixed. The template part is now proposed in php-fast-forward/phpdoc-bootstrap-template#18; no new template version is consumed.
