#179 told users that MetaMask wedging on its splash screen every time meant Android was restricting it in the background, and to set it to Unrestricted. Four device logs since have ruled that out: the wedge appears within seconds of the wallet going to the background, on every warm resume, however the wallet is brought back — and battery restriction acts over minutes. It is MetaMask failing to resume from the background on that phone, and a web page cannot reach into it.

What changes

  • FxBlox App Setup → Set your identity — the tip now says what every log showed working: close MetaMask from recent apps and open it again (from its icon, or with the button) and it shows the waiting request. For "every time", it points at the two things that are actually about the wallet's resume path: keep it up to date, and its Auto-lock setting.
  • Same page → Troubleshooting and Switch Chain Troubleshooting — matching bullets.

The battery note in the legacy mobile-app section stays: that one is about the mobile FxBlox app itself and predates all of this.

Companion to functionland/fxblox-web#42, which makes the same correction in the app's own hint.

Testing

npm run build passes; onBrokenLinks: "throw" still covers the anchors.

#179 told users that MetaMask wedging on its splash screen every time meant
Android was restricting it in the background, and to set it to Unrestricted.
Four device logs since have ruled that out: the wedge appears within seconds of
the wallet going to the background, on every warm resume, however the wallet is
brought back -- and battery restriction acts over minutes, not seconds. It is
MetaMask failing to resume from the background on that phone.

So the pages now say what every one of those logs showed working: close
MetaMask from recent apps and open it again -- from its icon, or with the
button in the app -- and it shows the waiting request. And, for "every time",
the two things that are actually about the wallet's resume path: keep it up to
date, and look at its Auto-lock setting.

The battery note in the legacy mobile-app section stays. That one is about the
mobile FxBlox app itself and predates all of this.
