feat(audio): play an original stage-clear stinger on the platformer results - #82
Conversation
…esults Finishing Bay Area Blitz, Orbital Ops or The Enchanted Repo now plays a 4.7 s chiptune stage-clear jingle in F major over the MERGE SUCCESSFUL results. It is by Erik Thorelli, made with Suno v6. The results pause the tree and the level music with it, so the stinger has its own Music-bus player that keeps processing. A knockout keeps #71's ducked level music and never plays it. level.gd gains one preload, one player and one play() call. A new suite covers all three levels, the paused tree, the silent level music and the knockout path. Part of #44.

🟡 Minor · Test gap: the paused-playback assertion checks playing but not… · platformer_stage_clear.gd:35-36

⚠️ Potential issue | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winTest gap: the paused-playback assertion checks playing but not whether the cue can process or advances. A paused or pending AudioStreamPlayer may still report playing, allowing a regression from PROCESS_MODE_ALWAYS to PAUSABLE to pass.
The test reports successful playback while paused even though the cue does not progress audibly.
This can occur when: The cue player is accidentally made pausable while _finish still requests playback after pausing the tree.

34-36: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winAdd a completion assertion for the one-shot stinger.
The test checks playback after 0.5 seconds but does not wait for the stream to finish. A copied
music.finished.connect(func(): music.play())connection could therefore restart the non-looping stinger and still pass. Wait for the stream duration, then assert thatstage_clearis stopped.Suggested test coverage

41-44: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winAssert the knockout state before checking the stinger.
The fall reaches
_die(), emitsdied, and synchronously calls_finish(false). The proposed assertion is safe at this point and detects a missing knockout transition. The existing stinger assertion alone can still pass if death handling or signal wiring regresses. This is a recommended test-coverage refactor, not a current production failure. The edit is localized and has high regression-detection value.

43-44: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winWait for knockout completion before checking the stinger.
This is a coverage improvement, not a current runtime defect. The knockout continues while paused and completes after 3.5 seconds. The current 0.5-second wait does not cover the later shared results reveal.
