v1.62.1

Bug Fixes

  • #41989 [Regression]: tsconfig "extends" bare specifier isn't resolved via node_modules walk-up like tsc (fatal since 1.62)
  • #41998 [Regression]: directory-form tsconfig project references ("path": "../pkg") fail to resolve (fatal since 1.62)
  • #41985 Accessibility snapshot drops button name when text is nested inside spans with aria-hidden SVG
  • #42000 [Regression]: page.evaluate() arg of a branded primitive type (string & { brand }) no longer type-checks since 1.62
  • #42013 [BUG]Image-type actionable elements are not presented in the snapshot.

v1.62.0

🧱 New component testing model

Component testing moves to a stories and galleries model. A story wraps your component in one specific scenario — hard-coded props, mock data, providers — and a gallery page that you serve renders stories on demand. The new fixtures.mount() fixture navigates to the gallery, mounts a story by id, and returns a Locator scoped to the story's root element:

test('click should expand', async ({ mount }) => {
  const component = await mount('components/Expandable/Stateful');
  await component.getByRole('button').click();
  await expect(component.getByTestId('expanded')).toHaveValue('true');
});

Pass a story type as a template argument to type-check its props, and use update(props) / unmount() on the returned locator to re-render or tear down within a test.

🛑 Cancel operations with AbortSignal

Most operations and web-first assertions now accept a signal option that takes an AbortSignal, letting you cancel long-running actions, navigations, waits, and assertions:

const controller = new AbortController();
setTimeout(() => controller.abort(), 1000);
await page.getByRole('button', { name: 'Submit' }).click({ signal: controller.signal });
await expect(page.getByText('Done')).toBeVisible({ signal: controller.signal });

Providing a signal does not disable the default timeout; pass timeout: 0 to disable it.

🖼️ WebP screenshots

expect(page).toHaveScreenshot() and expect(locator).toHaveScreenshot() can now store snapshots in the WebP format — just give the snapshot a .webp name:

// Visual comparisons store the golden snapshot as lossless WebP.
await expect(page).toHaveScreenshot('homepage.webp');
// Standalone screenshots can trade quality for size with lossy WebP.
await page.screenshot({ path: 'homepage.webp', quality: 50 });
</tr></table>

Updates portless from 0.12.0 to 0.15.6

Release notes

Sourced from portless's releases.

v0.15.6

New Features

  • Agent-readable documentation: The documentation site now exposes clean Markdown pages and an llms.txt index so agents can discover and consume the docs directly. (#387)

Bug Fixes

  • Framework flags through package scripts: Frameworks that ignore PORT now receive the assigned --port and --host flags when launched through supported package-manager scripts, while non-server and unsafe scripts are left untouched. (#366)
  • Windows service lifetime: The Windows startup service now registers a UTF-16 Task Scheduler definition with no execution time limit and replaces existing tasks atomically. (#381)
  • Ctrl+C process cleanup: Interrupt handling now waits for the command's process tree to exit and terminates remaining descendants after a short grace period. (#385)

Contributors

v0.15.5

Bug Fixes

  • Multi-segment custom TLDs: --tld and PORTLESS_TLD now accept dotted DNS names such as dev.example.com, so local URLs can mirror production structure. validateTld checks per-label DNS rules and the 253-character total limit, overlapping TLDs resolve by longest match, and cert cache filenames stay under the filesystem name limit for long hostnames. (#365)
  • WebSocket over HTTP/2: Proxy now advertises RFC 8441 extended CONNECT and bridges :protocol websocket streams to an HTTP/1.1 upgrade against the backend, fixing dev server HMR for browsers that negotiate h2 over ALPN. Plain-HTTP upgrades on the TLS port are proxied instead of dropped, and a backend that rejects the handshake or answers with a bad Sec-WebSocket-Accept now gets a 502 instead of a silently destroyed socket. v0.15.4

Bug Fixes

  • Loopback-only proxy binding: Outside LAN mode, the proxy and HTTP redirect listeners now bind only to 127.0.0.1 and ::1, so Portless routes cannot be reached through LAN, VPN, or other network interfaces. LAN mode still binds to all interfaces explicitly. (#361)

Contributors

v0.15.3

Bug Fixes

  • State directory under sudo: Portless now resolves per-user state from the original sudo user's home, so an elevated proxy and unprivileged app processes share the same routes instead of writing to separate state directories. (#357)
  • Windows and WSL CA trust: On WSL, portless trust now installs the local CA in both Linux and Windows trust stores, while portless clean removes the exact certificate from both. Failed trust-store cleanup preserves the CA identity for safe retries, including on native Windows. (#357)

Updates supabase from 2.112.0 to 2.115.0

Release notes

Sourced from supabase's releases.

v2.115.0

Supabase CLI v2.115.0 — 2026-08-18

This release changes two defaults you should know about before upgrading CI: schema diffing now uses the bundled pg-delta engine, and supabase test db fails when it finds zero tests. It also makes migrations faster and more consistent, and fixes supabase start on confined Docker installs.

⚠️ Breaking changes

  • Schema diffing defaults to the bundled pg-delta enginedb diff, db pull, and declarative schema generate/sync now use the in-process pg-delta engine instead of the legacy implementation. Generated SQL and transaction-aware file splits can differ from previous output, and there is no automatic fallback — coverage gaps warn, and --strict-coverage makes them fatal. The declarative schema directory also defaults to supabase/schemas now, matching the legacy engine; if your tree lives under the old supabase/database default, move it or set declarative_schema_path = "./database" under [experimental.pgdelta] in supabase/config.toml. If the new engine blocks you, set SUPABASE_USE_PG_DELTA_NEXT=false to unblock yourself and open a GitHub issue describing what broke — the opt-out is temporary and will be removed in about a month. (#6102)
  • supabase test db now fails when no tests run — a run where pg_prove finds zero pgTAP tests exits non-zero with no pgTAP tests found in <paths> instead of reporting success. Previously a typo'd path, an empty tests directory, or a bind-mount mismatch could leave CI green while testing nothing. If a pipeline legitimately runs zero tests, drop the supabase test db step. (#6210)
  • --password now beats SUPABASE_DB_PASSWORD on db remotedb remote changes|commit prefer an explicit --password over the environment variable; previously the env var silently won due to a flag-binding bug. If your automation sets both, the flag value is now the one used. (#6162)

Highlights

  • Faster, more consistent migrationsdb reset and db push batch migration and seed statements again, cutting runs from minutes to seconds on Windows; migration list, db pull, and migration repair order migrations by version like db push, so an in-sync tree no longer shows phantom conflicts; and migration new writes the file before reporting success on Windows. (#6224, #6225, #6192)
  • Link a preview branch directlysupabase link accepts a project ref, or the name or UUID of a branch of the currently linked project, both as the positional argument and via --project-ref. (#6168)
  • Clearer errorsfunctions serve setup failures name the actual filesystem problem instead of An error occurred in Effect.tryPromise; a crashed db diff --use-migra run fails loudly instead of printing "No schema changes found"; and an unreachable database during batched migrations reports as a connection error. (#6191, #6240, #6234)

New features

  • Per-function env files in functions serve — standalone supabase functions serve discovers supabase/functions/<slug>/.env for each function, alongside the shared supabase/functions/.env; --env-file overrides both. supabase start does not load these files. (#6182)
  • Experimental projects create flags--release-channel and --postgres-engine pick the release channel and Postgres engine for new projects. Both require --experimental and stay hidden from --help while in preview. (#6186)
  • Silence the update notice — set SUPABASE_NO_UPDATE_NOTIFIER=1 to suppress the new-version notice printed after commands. (#6143)

Improvements

  • supabase start polls booting services one at a time again, matching the Go CLI — concurrent health checks could burst Docker subprocesses and exhaust retries on constrained machines. (#6149)
  • Piped text output respects backpressure instead of buffering in memory, so supabase db dump | <slow consumer> no longer risks running out of memory on large databases. (#6212)
  • The bundled Go binary only includes the commands still proxied to it, shrinking the installed size. (#6162)

Bug fixes

  • supabase start works with strictly confined Docker installs (such as Docker Snap) and remote Docker contexts: container secrets stream over stdin via docker cp instead of being staged as plaintext files in /tmp. (#6201)
  • supabase functions serve <name> accepts its optional function-name argument again; the command still serves all discovered functions, matching the Go CLI. (#6173)
  • Auth email template and notification content_path values resolve against the project root consistently. (#6160)

Plus 12 internal improvements and dependency updates.

Updates wrangler from 4.114.0 to 4.125.0

Release notes

Sourced from wrangler's releases.

wrangler@4.125.0

Minor Changes

  • #14995 59872c4 Thanks @ThomasRubini! - Add connect trigger for raw sockets

    You can now configure a Worker to receive raw socket connections during wrangler dev, delivered directly to the Worker's connect(socket, env, ctx) handler:

    {
      "connect": [{ "protocol": "tcp", "port": 5432 }]
    }

    Each entry opens a listening socket on 127.0.0.1 (or the given address) that forwards incoming connections straight to the Worker, bypassing the local dev HTTP entry point. This requires the experimental compatibility flag. Only "tcp" is supported at the moment.

    @cloudflare/config also supports declaring this trigger via triggers.connect(...), which lowers to the connect field above:

    import { defineWorker, triggers } from "@cloudflare/config";
    export default defineWorker({
    triggers: [
    triggers.connect({ protocol: "tcp", port: 5432, address: "127.0.0.1" }),
    ],
    });

  • #15172 c68f9cb Thanks @WillTaylorDev! - Add container support to worker previews

    Worker previews now support containers through a new previews.containers configuration block. Container configuration doesn't inherit, so declare containers explicitly in the previews block to enable them for previews. This mirrors how previews.durable_objects works today. Wrangler names each preview container application {worker_name}_{preview_slug}_{class_name}, normalising and shortening the result to what the API accepts. Either change appends a short digest of the composed name, so two names that would otherwise land on one stay distinct. An entry cannot set its own name, because application names are unique to an account and a fixed name would collide between two previews of the same Worker. A Durable Object class is backed by at most one container application, so the validator rejects two entries that share a class_name. Wrangler skips container applications bound to Durable Object classes that another Worker implements through script_name, because the implementing Worker owns its own container application. A binding is not required: a Durable Object declared through migrations or exports and reached only over ctx.exports can still back a container. Every entry must set class_name. A previews.containers entry whose class_name matches no Durable Object class at all is rejected before the preview deployment is created, so a typo fails loudly instead of producing a preview with no container.

    Wrangler creates the container applications on wrangler preview. Deleting a preview tears them down server side, so wrangler preview delete doesn't remove them.

    Container build and deploy progress prints to stdout. wrangler preview --json suppresses wrangler's own output so it doesn't interleave with the payload, and warnings and errors still go to stderr. Docker's build output and the progress spinner write to stdout directly and bypass that suppression, so parse --json from a non interactive shell, where the spinner is skipped, and prefer a prebuilt image over a Dockerfile.

  • #15174 649f667 Thanks @WillTaylorDev! - [private beta]: Create the parent Worker automatically when wrangler preview targets one that doesn't exist yet

    Previews hang off a parent Worker, so running wrangler preview before the Worker had ever been deployed failed with a raw API error naming the Preview endpoint. Wrangler now offers to create an empty parent Worker and then carries on creating the Preview. The parent uses the same workers.dev and Preview URL settings that wrangler deploy would resolve, without applying routes or cron triggers. In non-interactive environments, Wrangler creates the Worker without asking.

  • #14735 30c2d47 Thanks @vaishnav-mk! - Add individual and batch Workflow instance deletion to the runtime and SDK.

    • WorkflowInstance.delete() deletes one instance. Self-deletion stops the current execution.
    • env.MY_WORKFLOW.deleteBatch(instanceIds) deletes up to 100 instances and returns { deleted, errors } per input position.
    • wrangler workflows instances delete <name> [id..] deletes instances remotely or with --local; IDs can also come from a JSON array passed with --filename, with a combined limit of 100.
