What happened?
Loading Pubky profiles and importing contacts lagged for seconds. Profile names, avatars and contact payment lookups waited behind each other, and a pubky that was never published took 2–7 s to fail while everything else waited. The Pubky Ring choice screen stayed empty until every identity was looked up.
Expected behavior
Profiles, the Ring identity list and contact import load without waiting on unrelated lookups.
