Configuration Findings
P1: Image Version Control
Location: docker-compose.yml:5
image: 'gitlab/gitlab-ce:latest'
Risk: Using the latest tag can introduce unexpected changes and makes rollbacks difficult in production environments.
Suggested Fix: Pin to specific version for stability:
image: 'gitlab/gitlab-ce:16.3.0-ce.0' # Current stable
P2: Restart Policy Conflict
Location: Lines 7 & 13
restart: always
# ...
restart: unless-stopped
Risk: Duplicate restart policies may cause unexpected behavior.
Suggested Fix: Use single policy:
Additional Improvements
- Health Checks: Add GitLab service health monitoring
- Resource Limits: Prevent memory/CPU exhaustion
