GitLab and GlitchTip could not refresh their star counts because the latest-release permalink redirects, while disabled release access can return 403. Use the release list endpoint and allow 403 only for that optional lookup, so public project facts still refresh. Redirects remain blocked and project permission errors still fail.
Validation:
npm run qualitypassed (TypeScript and 116 core tests); 37 focused tests passed across refresh automations and chosen candidates. Independent Sol review approved. Read-only checks against the listed repositories returned 6,188 stars for GitLab and 363 stars plus release v6.1.8 for GlitchTip. No production data was changed.
