What this does

Owner-requested changes to the ad-network pages. They stay unpublished (404) in production; this PR publishes nothing.

Lists and layout

  • Network and niche pages sort sites by traffic by default: traffic group, then oldest domain, then domain. A–Z stays in the sort menu.
  • The niche column and filter show on every network with sorted sites. Before, they showed only at 80% coverage, which hid them on Mediavine, Raptive and Ezoic.
  • Network pages drop the "rank among networks" and "biggest publishers" charts. Domain age gets its own row, and the platforms legend shows the top four, then Other and Unknown. Traffic labels read "top 10k".
  • The niches index drops the niche-size treemap; its table already shows the counts.
  • The Joining tab no longer repeats "Who can join …?".

Content (MDX)

  • 44 network side columns rewritten with practical questions, sourced from content_docs/ad-networks/research.
  • Help sections below the directory home, stats, niches index and checker. The methodology is on the directory home and stats only.

Fixes

  • The stats page timed out on large data. Its queries were reshaped, with two small partial indexes (migration 20261020174015, about 2.4 MiB, bounded by lock_timeout 5s and statement_timeout 60s).
  • The ad network checker no longer aborts its request on unmount; that abort caused a dev overlay AbortError.
  • The ad-network data cache key moves to v14, so first pages pick up the new availability.

Not in code

  • Titles, H1s and descriptions for all 68 ad-network pages were rewritten in the development database through the publisher. Production plans are ready for the publication round.

Checks

  • npm run quality: 108 passed. Ad-network focused suite: 172 passed. MDX check passed.
  • Four Sol review rounds. All findings were fixed, including content accuracy against the verifier code and research, and migration safety on production.

The table used the 80% niche coverage gate meant for niche charts, so
Mediavine (79%), Raptive, Ezoic and most other networks hid the column.
Unsorted rows read Not listed. Charts and niche pages keep the gate.

The try/catch around abort() could not catch the dev AbortError, and
clearing the request ref left loading stuck after Fast Refresh.

A row left with one chart now takes the full width.

Directory home: choosing a network, requirement terms, reading cards,
and how the list is built. Stats: reading the numbers, limits, and
data sources. Niches: picking a network for your niche. Checker: what
to do with a result, ads.txt setup, traffic groups.

Each network's article now answers who it suits, what to have ready,
how its pay compares, what to ask before signing, where to go if it
won't take you, and how to check a site. Facts come from the network
research files and network-facts.ts.

…rk pages

Platforms and domain endings now share the row below, and the legend
shows the top four platforms, then Other and Unknown.

Add the search step for network, niche, home, stats, and checker pages,
and the title patterns the reviewed SEO titles, H1s, and descriptions
follow. The copy itself lives in the database rows.

…s lock wait

- Confirmed live survives one missed check; a missing ads.txt counts as a miss.
- Not ranked means absent from this month's CrUX list, not outside a ranking.
- A few networks can be confirmed from homepage ad code without ads.txt.
- PubGalaxy: drop unverified joining rules. Clickio: history only without other proof.
- Migration: lock_timeout 5s and statement_timeout 60s around the index builds.

Research re-read every network's own pages on Oct 21 and filled 93 of the
283 blank rows, corrected stale facts (Mediavine tiers, EthicalAds,
PubFuture, Sovrn, PubGalaxy's move to Improve Digital), and the page words
now match. Tabs group what a network doesn't publish into one Not public
row, and only traffic, user, or revenue bars count as joining rules.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Rules show the network's wording (premium sessions, more than, around),
published no-minimum networks read as open and sort first, benchmarks and
single-program bars no longer read as the network's rule, and page words no
longer call published contract terms or other networks' rules unknown.

… pages

Clickio and PubGuru Premium keep their revenue and pageview alternatives
in one summary, Revcontent reads as open, and the stats chart shows each
network's own rule wording.
