The avatar is 460 px and its stack 240 of them. Every logo was cut from it
and scaled: the 512 a 2x enlargement, the clear mark's edge a flood fill of
a textured ground, and on a 2x screen even the header's was short of the
pixels it needed. assets/mark.svg is the stack traced in the avatar's own
coordinates - the three disks with their tilts, the ring and its trail,
the shadow - and cmd/mark draws logos/ from it with oksvg:

  • mark.svg and mark-clear.svg, which the brand pages now use;
  • PNGs drawn at each size, not scaled: 1024, 512, 256, tile and clear;
    the favicon at 64 and 32 and the touch icon at 180;
  • trace.png, the avatar beside the trace, shown in the mark's guide.

-check holds the trace to the avatar: the mean difference per channel
over the square, the wordmark left out, is 10.3 now and 17.1 without the
middle disk; past 12 it fails. oksvg draws a viewBox that does not start
at 0 0 shifted by an amount that changes with the size (the favicon was
empty at 32), so the offset is a translate and render refuses the rest.

The avatar (left, enlarged as every logo was) and the trace (right, drawn at that size):

trace

Review it as a likeness: it is flatter than the avatar - no texture, no glow - by design of a vector. If something reads as a different mark, say which part and I move it.

Superseded: the hand trace was sharper but read worse as a whole. The mark as drawn (1024 px) replaces the avatar as the source in the next PR.
