Description
Rewrites the project README to be a concise starter, modeled on the Ruby for Good
Human Essentials README. Adds Mission, Reach, Ruby for Good, Status, How It Works,
and Getting Started sections with a short setup snippet, and points to DESIGN.md for
the full data model and tech stack. No application code changed.

How Has This Been Tested?
Rendered the Markdown locally in VS Code preview and confirmed all sections, links,
and the setup code block display correctly. No automated tests apply — documentation only.
