I did some poking around, but cannot find a reason. Best hunch: maybe OpenFermion 1.7.1 has a constraint on the version of requests (or a transitive dependency) that was looser in a prior version of OpenFermion, and maybe uv couldn’t update Qualtran to requests 2.33 without reaching for a release of OpenFermion that didn't constrain the version of the dependency in the same way.

BTW, this repo uses the GitHub-provided default Dependabot configuration. We may be able to achieve better control over how it does updates by adding an explicit dependabot config file like we do in some of the other Quantumlib projects. I'm not sure it would solve this particular problem because this looks like it's uv's doing, but maybe it would.
