Bug: RSS feed is served as 'application/octet-stream' instead of 'application/rss+xml' #3203
When loading the RSS feed linked from the 'Our Blogs' page via the link in the sidebar, it is served as 'application/octet-stream' instead of 'application/rss+xml', resulting in Safari (and Waterfox) wanting to download it as a file instead of handing it off to the application registered for that purpose.
To Reproduce
Go to the 'Our Blogs' page in either Safari or Waterfox on a Mac, and click on the 'RSS' link in the 'Subscribe to Python Insider via' sidebar segment. The browser will offer to download the feed as a file.

Thanks for the report.
The blog has moved from Blogger to a new blog hosted on GitHub Pages:
https://blog.python.org/2026/03/the-python-insider-blog-has-moved/
Please use this feed instead, it also has the correct content-type:
https://blog.python.org/rss.xml
See #3204 for more info and to fix the links.
