update master branch after pushing there from dev
npm install npm update to be certain
gulp patternlab:version to confirm what you expect
gulp patternlab:serve to make sure it runs
copy contents of directory, EXCLUDING

.git/
.github/
patternlab.json if it exists
node_modules/

move to a separate directory
test from new directory
zip
upload to draft release
