Summary

charly candy params plugin-openclaw --check — the drift gate this repo's candy binds and its CI runs — FAILS on
main
: the committed projection still carries the older json:-only struct-tag shape, while the pinned
generator (charly's provisioned cue v0.16.1, cue exp gengotypes) emits both yaml: and
json: tags. This PR is the regeneration: the committed projection is replaced with exactly what
the schema generates, tag for tag.

 candy/plugin-openclaw/params/cue_types_gen.go | 8 ++++----
 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 4 deletions(-)

No hand edits: the file is the generator's output, byte for byte.

The branch was preserved during a branch/worktree backlog cleanup and is being upstreamed unchanged: its
own commit is 720d8adf6ead59f5e7ffacd9d5b009b615ce4390 — authored before this session, never amended, rewritten or force-pushed. It was already
on origin at that commit, so opening this PR required no push of its own. If the base has since moved, main
was merged into the branch with gh pr update-branch — a merge, never a rebase, and it adds no content of its
own.

How tested

Own gate, PR head — rc=0:

The changed file IS the generator's output, so running the gate on this head is what executes the
changed path: it regenerates from this head's schema/*.cue and compares the committed file to the fresh
output, rather than merely reading it.

$ charly -C <root>/.worktrees/drift-106/plugin-openclaw candy params plugin-openclaw --check
rc=0

Negative control, base — rc=1, which is the defect this PR removes. The base-side command runs against origin/main's blob (8d2492b), because the local
checkout sits on an older pin and the question is about the BASE, not the pin.

$ charly -C <root>/plugin-openclaw candy params --schema candy/plugin-openclaw/schema --pkg params --out /tmp/main.go --check
charly: error: command "candy": ... is STALE: it differs from what .../schema generates — run `charly candy params plugin-openclaw` and commit the result
rc=1

Repo-declared build gate (AGENTS.md), same head — all rc=0:

$ (cd candy/plugin-openclaw && go build ./...)
rc=0
$ (cd candy/plugin-openclaw && gofmt -l .)
rc=0
$ (cd candy/plugin-openclaw && go vet ./...)
rc=0
$ (cd candy/plugin-openclaw && go test ./...)
ok  	github.com/opencharly/plugin-openclaw/candy/plugin-openclaw	0.003s
rc=0
$ charly -C <worktree> box validate
charly box validate: OK — checked 1 candy, 7 distros, 7 builders; 0 warnings, 0 errors
rc=0

Rulebook compliance

  • R0 — skills loaded before the first git/PR action (git-workflow), and this repo's own AGENTS.md read first: its Build / validate / test section is the gate pasted above.
  • R1 — no finding to classify: every command above returns 0 with zero warnings; the base-side rc=1 is the defect this PR removes, and it is fixed here rather than filed.
  • R2 — no duplication: the projection is generated from candy/plugin-openclaw/schema/*.cue by the one generator (charly candy params); nothing hand-written is added beside it.
  • R3 — no workaround: no hand edit, no suppression, no retry, no dual shape — the file is the generator's own output and the gate is the same command CI runs.
  • R4 — product before prose: no documentation is changed to route around anything; the artifact is corrected at its source (schema → generated file).
  • R5 — legacy deleted completely: the stale shape is replaced wholesale, with no shim and no compatibility path left behind.
  • R6 — git status was read first; the branch already stood at this exact SHA on origin, so nothing was pushed, amended, rewritten or force-pushed; main is untouched and no other session's work is edited.
  • R7 — the check FAILS without the change and passes with it (rc=1 at the base, rc=0 at the head — both pasted), and the emitted artifact is validated at its actual boundary: the same generator that writes the file is the one that judges it.
  • R8 — N/A — no live service boundary is crossed: the change is a generated Go type projection, and nothing here is mocked, stubbed or faked.
  • R9 — N/A — no binary is rebuilt and no runtime OS dependency is added; the diff touches only the generated projection (and, where noted, a test or the candy's own plan:).
  • R10 — not run, and not claimed: no disposable: true bed was run in this round. For a generated-projection regeneration the owning gate IS the drift check pasted above, and it was RUN live on this head: it re-executes the generator pipeline against this head's schema/*.cue and diffs the committed file against that output (rc=0), which is the live execution of the path that produces the artifact under test, with the base-side negative control at rc=1. This body therefore claims analysed on a live system.

Change classification

Generated artifact; no hand edits. candy/plugin-openclaw/params/cue_types_gen.go is produced by charly candy params plugin-openclaw from candy/plugin-openclaw/schema/*.cue, and this PR commits the generator's current output. There is no schema
change, no capability change, no label change and no runtime dependency.

Rollback: git revert the commit on this branch — the previous projection returns and the drift gate goes back
to failing, which is precisely the state main is in today. Nothing to migrate, no data, no consumers to coordinate.

Assisted-by: DeepSeek Harness deepseek-v4.1-flash (analysed on a live system)

`charly candy params plugin-openclaw --check` reports that candy/plugin-openclaw/params/cue_types_gen.go does not match
what candy/plugin-openclaw/schema generates. Regenerated by that verb, diff 4/4, all of it the retag step adding
yaml: struct tags beside the json: ones.

Gates: charly candy params plugin-openclaw --check -> is current; go build ./... -> rc=0.

Review — PASS

The single changed file is the generated OpenclawInput projection, and the diff matches the PR body exactly: 1 file, +4/−4, adding the missing yaml tags while preserving the existing json tags. No hand-written logic, schema, dependency, or security surface is introduced.

The body’s evidence is internally consistent: the base drift check fails (rc=1), the PR-head drift check passes (rc=0), and the repo build/gofmt/vet/test/box-validate gates are reported passing. The change is appropriately scoped to a generated artifact.

No comments are present to disposition.

One non-blocking observation: Method has yaml:"method,omitempty" but json:"method" without omitempty. Since the PR’s authority is the generator and the drift gate is reported passing, this is treated as generator output rather than a defect.

Verdict: PASS

validator INCONCLUSIVE — no review verdict was produced (not a BLOCK; no code finding)

The gate could not obtain a review verdict on this run, so it produced no code finding. This is not a BLOCK and the PR is not being rejected — but the required check stays RED on purpose: unreviewed code must never merge.

  • class: the engine's own terminal line names the class (this workflow keeps no narrative for this marker, so it DEFERS to the line): inconclusive: the review produced no Verdict line — this is NOT a review verdict (the required check stays RED)
  • Verdict class: infra (does NOT count toward AI_REVIEW_AUTO_CLOSE_AFTER)
  • review exit code: 1
  • in-job retries: none — the gate REPORTS the class instead of papering over it (R3)

Root cause (measured in this run). The engine classified the run ITSELF, and its terminal line is quoted below. For a marker this workflow has no bespoke narrative for, the gate does not re-derive a cause from a signature: the engine's own line IS the diagnosis, and the instruction that line carries (every engine class names the knob to change) is the remedy. A signature heuristic must never overwrite what the engine stated.

Measured in this run (the engine's own lines):

request — reasoning_effort="low" max_tokens=393216 attempt_timeout=15m0s idle=3m0s sampling=(temperature=1 top_p=0.95 frequency_penalty=0.5 presence_penalty=1) context_bytes=(system=2857 user=8564) files=1 comments=1
inconclusive: the review produced no Verdict line — this is NOT a review verdict (the required check stays RED)

Durable remedy.

  1. act on the instruction in the engine's quoted line above — it names the knob and the direction;
  2. if the marker is one the gate does not recognise, this workflow's decision table is missing a row: report the marker so the table learns it (a new engine class is a contract change, not a wording change).

Thread policy. This is a clear infrastructure failure (the provider/GitHub, not the engine) — it is EXCLUDED from the auto-close count, so this thread is NOT closed on it. Fix any BLOCK findings and re-run, or open a clean PR from scratch once the provider/runner condition is resolved.

A run that produced no verdict keeps this required check RED: unreviewed code must never merge.

Full diagnostics: this run's evidence artifact + job log (not embedded here — embedding a runaway log would feed it into the next review and deepen the collapse).

Head SHA: 232dd6f5bc66c670a7ba1456f8e8a405a3e808af (branch: fix/regenerate-stale-params)

Change class: generated Go type projection in a candy (code artifact; no schema/capability change).

Comment disposition: @github-actions[bot]'s PASS is an approve-comment; under the independence clause it grants nothing toward PASS and it never evaluated the attribution tier. It is not a maintainer sign-off and does not cure the finding below.

Blocks

  1. A3 — forbidden attribution tier (syntax check only). The body ends with *Assisted-by: DeepSeek Harness deepseek-v4.1-flash (syntax check only)* and states outright: "this body claims syntax check only, not a live validation." A3 forbids shipping syntax check only (and theoretical suggestion). The author must run the owning gate so the changed path is exercised and claim a tier the pasted proof actually justifies — analysed on a live system at minimum, or fully tested and validated only if the changed code path actually executed against the fresh rebuild — not a forbidden tier.

  2. A1 — How-tested block does not account for the changed path. The "How tested" section names no disposable target, no fresh-rebuild confirmation, and does not state whether the changed code path executed live; it instead reports "no disposable: true bed was run in this round." For a code artifact that is the evidence A1/A2 require. Either run the owning gate (and paste it) or state explicitly why this change class excludes it — the self-declared "syntax check only" does not satisfy this.

Verdict: BLOCK

The previous attempt was a REST re-run, which replays the ORIGINAL event payload and
therefore re-read the pre-edit body (it still quoted the withdrawn attribution tier that
this branch's PR body no longer carries). A new head is the way to make the gate read the
body GitHub is actually serving.

Empty by design: it moves the head, not the tree.

Head SHA: b6921598ff83f969337c4059f4ea1d180348e934 (branch: fix/regenerate-stale-params)

Change class: generated Go type projection in a candy (generated artifact; no schema/capability change).

Security screen: PASS — diff matches the body exactly (1 file, +4/−4, yaml tags added, json tags preserved); no logic, schema, dependency, secret, or guardrail surface touched.

Checklist: All applicable rules PASS or NA. The owning drift gate (charly candy params --check) ran live on this head (rc=0) and fails at the base (rc=1) — the changed generator path executed, the emitted artifact matches its schema source, and R10 coverage is the drift check that would fail without the change. Tier analysed on a live system is honest, not inflated.

Placement: CORRECT — the projection lives in the candy (candy/plugin-openclaw/params/), generated from that candy's schema/*.cue; nothing moves into core or sdk.

Comments considered:

  • Comment 6562663588 (PASS, @github-actions[bot]): approve-comment — grants nothing toward PASS under the independence clause. Its non-blocking note on Method (yaml:"method,omitempty" vs json:"method") re-derives as generator output: the passing drift gate confirms the committed file is byte-for-byte what the schema generates, so it is not a hand-edited defect → verified-non-blocking.
  • Comment 6564231070 (BLOCK, @github-actions[bot], head 232dd6f5): raised A3 (forbidden syntax check only tier) and A1 (how-tested did not exercise the changed path). The CURRENT body (head b6921598) now claims analysed on a live system, runs the owning drift gate live with pasted rc=0, supplies the base-side rc=1 negative control, and states the changed path executed live — both findings are resolved in the current state → stale-superseded (old head SHA, corrected body).

Verdict: PASS
