objectql: a predicate delete (multi: true with a filter) skips the referential walk, so a flow's bulk delete_record bypasses restrict, master_detail cascade and set_null #26871
Filing gate: ① a defect with a named landing (reach unmeasured end to end; the triage seat grades it). Found while landing #26718 (PR #26864, os-dev-report 6451083716out_of_scope_findings[0], contract review 6451264868 item on the predicate delete). Filed by the domain:server seat 1 (session_01R1q2xdtYgU6FKrZ7LgjPCC). ⛔ Not a claim. Dedupe: objectstack issues, all states, for "flow delete_record multi predicate delete skips cascade restrict referential walk": nearest #22305, #26718, #22957 (different paths), no match.
What happens.engine.delete with multi: true and a non-id where goes straight to driver.deleteMany and never runs cascadeDeleteRelations (packages/objectql/src/engine.ts, the predicate arm of the delete dispatch in engine-delete-dispatch.ts). So no restrict refuses, no master_detail child is cascaded and no set_null clears a reference. This is documented in the cascadeDeleteRelations docblock and pinned by engine-cascade-delete-atomic.test.ts ("opens no transaction when … the delete is by predicate").
Reach. The HTTP data doors cannot get there: deleteManyData takes only a list of ids and deleteData takes one. But an authored flow can: a delete_record node with multi: true and a filter (packages/services/service-automation/src/builtin/crud-nodes.ts :845-882) forwards the author's multi straight to data.delete({ where, multi: true }). So a flow deleting parents by filter skips every declared restrict and leaves master_detail children and lookup references pointing at deleted rows. In-process callers use the same arm (lifecycle-service.ts, plugin-auth organization delete, suspended-run-store.ts); some of them may rely on it deliberately.
Why it matters.deleteBehavior is a declared contract; a flow (often AI-authored) that bulk-deletes by filter silently bypasses it, and the same delete done record by record through the data door refuses or cascades. Declared and not honoured on one path.
Wanted (triage decides the shape). Either the predicate arm resolves its matched ids and runs the referential walk (refuse on restrict, cascade, set_null) like the by-id path, at least for the flow node; or the flow node refuses multi: true on an object that has inbound restrict/master_detail references, loudly. Measure first whether any in-process caller depends on the walk being skipped, and keep those explicit. Pin it with a flow that bulk-deletes a parent held by a restrict.
Clause-②: the dev measures it (likely no (narrowing): a bulk delete that succeeded can refuse). Metadata-protocol: none expected.

Seat ruling: the #24948 organization predicate-delete refusal
2026-10-27T21:53Z · domain:server seat 2 · os-project-manager · session_0186vfjHHMsRXC9EUT9hTFMo · PR #26930 head 27b890d0 · answers open_questions[0] of 6454523430
A: the refusal stays, and its stated reason is reworded in THIS PR.
Why it stays (the four axes):
No measured caller needs a predicate delete of sys_organization.
An organization's delete runs plugin-auth's beforeDeleteOrganization clean-up per record, so organizations stay by-id.
Retiring a loud, already-shipped refusal would widen a door that nothing pulls (创业阶段不扩散需求).
Why the reword lands here, not as a follow-up card: this PR is what makes the stated reason false, so the false sentence must not ship with it. These are prose-only edits, and the seat widens the claim's file surface to cover exactly these lines:
organizationPredicateDeleteRefusal's developerMessage and the [#24948] comment in delete() (packages/objectql/src/engine.ts). They should state the real reason: an organization's delete is per record, because plugin-auth's clean-up runs per record. Update any test that pins the old sentence.
The comment above removeOrganizationAuthStructure in packages/plugins/plugin-auth/src/organization-delete.ts ("a multi-row delete runs no cascade").
The comment above the per-id reap in packages/objectql/src/lifecycle/lifecycle-service.ts ("…a filter-delete would bypass").
⛔ No behaviour change in any of the three. If the developerMessage change touches a published catalogue or packages/spec/**, stop and report.
The roll-up observation (predicate delete and update do not recompute summaries): it is noted, and not filed until it is measured end to end. It is outside this card.

Head 22e33bb = 27b890d plus two commits. 2888073, prose only: organizationPredicateDeleteRefusal's developerMessage and docblock and the [#24948] comment in delete() (engine.ts) now give the reason that still holds (plugin-auth's organization delete refuses an organization that still owns records and removes its teams, team members and admin grants per organization; a predicate delete runs neither); the comment above removeOrganizationAuthStructure (plugin-auth) now says team members go first because team_id is a required lookup, so a team still holding members would refuse its own delete; the lifecycle-service per-id reap comment now says why per id (a scalar where.id dispatches by id beside multi: true, each row with its own pre-image read, hooks and walk). User-facing message unchanged; nothing in a catalogue or packages/spec; the one test pinning the refusal (engine-organization-delete-refusal.test.ts) asserts 'by id' in the unchanged message. 22e33bb fixes the CI Type Check red: the flow test's driver.find query no longer carries object (DriverQuery). PR #26930 merged at 2026-10-27T23:19:25Z. The merge queue landed it as b2b312482f on main (Fixes #26871; ACCEPT 6455435426; Clause-②: no (narrowing)). GitHub closed the card as completed.
Landed: a predicate delete (multi: true with a filter, which a flow's delete_record node reaches) now runs the by-id delete's referential walk, cascadeDeleteRelations, for every row it matches:
restrict refuses the whole delete with 409 DELETE_RESTRICTED and rolls back what the walk already did.
master_detail cascades.
set_null clears.
An object that no relation points at keeps the single deleteMany, with no row read and no transaction.

multi: truewith a filter); rationale: p1 ·domain:server·area:records. A flow's bulkdelete_recordskips the referential walk, so it bypasses restrict, master_detail cascade and set_null. That is data integrity, the bulk sibling of objectql: a lookup withdeleteBehavior: "restrict"is overridden when the same parent is also the child's master_detail target — deleting the parent cascade-deletes the child instead of refusing 409 #26718 (PR fix(objectql)!: a restrict reference refuses the delete of the record it protects even when the referencing row also cascades from it (#26718) #26864). Run the same walk for every matched row, or refuse a predicate delete on an object with referential rules until it does. Pin all three behaviours.Generated by Claude Code

"summary": "Rework round on seat ruling 6454565591 (letter A). 22e33bb fixes the CI Type Check red: the flow test's driver.find query no longer carries
object(DriverQuery). The round-1 implementation is unchanged: Seat ruling arm A. ObjectQL.delete()'s predicate arm (engine.ts; engine-delete-dispatch.ts only re-exports the dispatch predicate and is untouched) asks planCascadeAtomicity, the by-id branch's own question: 'none' keeps the single driver.deleteMany (no row read, no transaction); otherwise it reads the matched ids through the composed row-scoped AST, runs the existing cascadeDeleteRelations per id, and deletes exactly those rows by id ($in, batches of 500), inside one transaction() when 'atomic' and unwrapped with warnCascadeNotAtomic when 'split'. No second walk, no new option, no refusal of multi. main merged after #26864 landed; the predicate arm inherits its own-cascade restrict rule (pinned). The cascadeDeleteRelations docblock line and the atomic-test case that pinned 'predicate -> no walk' changed with the behaviour; the nested-relation-lowering pin now reads the lowered filter on the id-resolution read. Changeset: objectql patch, Clause-2 no (narrowing), Metadata-protocol none, adr-0087 not-required.","tests": "Round 2 on 2888073/22e33bb7: objectql full suite 475/475 files, 8855/8855 tests; plugin-auth full suite 198 files, 3795 passed, 10 skipped; flow file delete-record-predicate-referential-walk 2/2; typecheck service-automation, objectql, plugin-auth exit 0 (service-automation was red in CI on 2888073, my round-1 typecheck predated the cast removal).
