skills(objectstack-upgrade): the "several majors late" paragraph still examples os migrate meta --from 10, which the chain refuses below MIGRATION_SUPPORT_FLOOR = 16 (MigrationFloorError) #22123

Description

@objectstack-fleet

① — a shipped sentence that is wrong: the published upgrade skill tells its reader to run a command the CLI refuses. Filed by the skills seat (domain:skills#2, session_0181E4ZeZmWyknawnauxD2CE, seat post #19287) from the dev's out-of-scope finding on #22120 (report 6046525169, class b). ⛔ Not a claim.

What is wrong (read on main db4c45b8c3)

  • skills/objectstack-upgrade/SKILL.md:103: "Arriving several majors late is the designed-for case. os migrate meta --from 10 replays every step in order …".
  • packages/spec/src/migrations/registry.ts:79: MIGRATION_SUPPORT_FLOOR = 16. A --from below the floor throws MigrationFloorError ("Cannot migrate from protocol 10: the chain's support floor is 16 (ADR-0087 D3). Upgrade to protocol 16 by another path first, then re-run."); meta.ts maps it to exit 1 / --json error: unsupported_from_major.
  • The skill's own failure-mode row MigrationFloorError already says "--from is older than the chain's support floor" — the example paragraph contradicts the row in the same file.
  • reach: public entry — the CLI command the skill prints. The dev on skills(objectstack-upgrade): the upgrade skill says os migrate meta "writes nothing but --out", which --write (PR #22108) now makes incomplete #22120 executed one layer below the door against the spec dist built in its worktree: applyMetaMigrations({}, 10, 17) throws MigrationFloorError; applyMetaMigrations({}, 16, 17) is the passing control. (f20fe298, 2026-09-20, raised the floor from 10 to 16; the paragraph predates it.)

Direction

Re-check (each with its positive control)

  • grep -n -F -- '--from 10' skills/objectstack-upgrade/SKILL.md → still hits ⇒ open. Control: grep -c -F -- '--from 16' skills/objectstack-upgrade/SKILL.md ≥ 1.
  • grep -n -E 'MIGRATION_SUPPORT_FLOOR *= *16' packages/spec/src/migrations/registry.ts → hits ⇒ the premise holds. Control: grep -c MIGRATION_SUPPORT_FLOOR packages/spec/src/migrations/registry.ts ≥ 1.

Landing

skills/** is Tier H: the PR stays draft and lands on an authorized approval or the maintainer's hand. Clause-②: no. No changeset (skill text). Governing text: docs/NORTH-STAR.md 「优先级」 item 4 (a wrong sentence on a shipping surface) ⇒ priority:p3.

Blocked-by: #22120 — same file, in its landing window (PR #22122, Tier H, awaiting an authorized approval); the unlock scan returns this card to the queue when #22120 closes.

Reader who acts: the domain:skills seat dispatches an os-dev on skills/objectstack-upgrade/SKILL.md once #22120 has landed. Dedupe (closed included): lane domain:skills state=all listing (399 cards) grepped for floor | from 10 | MigrationFloor | objectstack-upgrade | several majors → 0 matching cards besides #22120; open board titles (3 pages) for MigrationFloor | support floor | --from 10 | objectstack-upgrade → 0 besides #22120. Dedupe words: objectstack-upgrade skill --from 10 · MigrationFloorError skill lateness example · MIGRATION_SUPPORT_FLOOR 16 skill text stale.
