During EAR review with Julia , Amanda suggested that VS .NET is using a dynamic approach to install runtime onto developer's machines.
Our plan is to investigate if we can do the same - To check if we can bundle JDK 11 into our extension only when developer does not have JDK installed. Otherwise, the developer just downloads extension only without JDK.
If we cannot do this without Marketplace adding new features, we need to contact them and raise priority
