Yes. It's an everyday (latest today) to set up debugging properly with launch.json etc. For Python it simply just works now.
Would be a huge time saver and also make it a lot more user friendly.

Can something be done to for this issue to can more attention? This functionality is so conventient when coding in Python.

Hi Jimisola Laursen (@jimisola) now we shipped the Debugger for Java 0.58.3 as stable release, which already support no config debug.
You may have a try with the latest stable version.

Very nice. Thanks! Before I try it out, will this only work if started with
javaor will it also work if one starts with Maven/Gradle (most of us, including myself, probably do the latter)?
