The sets take a paste (their section rule beside the workspace's); a copy of Fast pasted onto Configurations is Fast1, as MATLAB names a duplicate, one edit on VS Code's stack, and saved. CHANGELOG: a line for copy and paste of configurations.
It copies and pastes a model's configuration sets with their settings.
Its model table takes a configuration set pasted into its Configurations, and moves one out.

A Simulink model's (.slx, R2026b or later) configuration sets are now copied and pasted as a dictionary's are: a set duplicated in its model (named
Fast1, as MATLAB names a duplicate), pasted into a model out of a dictionary (text or binary) or another model, and moved out with Cut or a drag. Each paste or move is one edit on VS Code's stack, and the set keeps every setting. Copying a set out of a model into a dictionary no longer loses its settings. A set of an older layout is refused, saying why; references travel in every layout.modelActiveConfig.test.ts): the sets take a paste (their rule beside the workspace's); Fast copied and pasted onto Configurations is Fast1, one edit, saved. Runs on CI.Checked against MATLAB in core: R2027a 60/60, R2023b 24/24.
