QuickSilver already lets an agent top up one balance and spend it across a dozen models from a single key — and already has x402 on the roadmap (issue #7). This is an ADD to that same idea, not a competing one: one more way to top up, settling in Nano (XNO) instead of USDC on Base.
Why it fits a single-balance, model-agnostic CLI:
- No gas, no mint, no minimum. The whole point of one OpenAI-compatible balance is that the agent does not fuss over where the money came from. Nano top-up is a single send that settles in ~1s, fee-free, from any wallet the operator already holds — no USDC on Base, no facilitator, no KYC.
- The receipt is public. A Nano top-up's block is verifiable by anyone from any public node (rpc.nano.to) — a deposit an agent can re-check without trusting the dashboard. That is the same checkout confidence x402 gives, on a rail with no gas.
- Same assets already in reach. Your API base is OpenAI-compatible; a top-up endpoint taking a nano_ address + block hash is one small route.
Measured fact: Nano settles in about a second with a zero network fee, and the receipt is a public block readable by anyone. No account, no identity check to receive.
(Disclosed: this conversation is public research on how USDC/x402 services come to accept Nano, filed openly.)
