fetch_repos.py fails if git autocrlf is true #62
Description
When run this:
python .\fetch_repos.py
the following error occurs.
error: patch failed: main/boards/common/i2c_device.cc:32
error: main/boards/common/i2c_device.cc: patch does not apply
Patch C:\StackChan\firmware\patches/xiaozhi-esp32.patch cannot be applied cleanly to C:\StackChan\firmware\xiaozhi-esp32, skipped.
After run this command and retry from clone , no error.
git config --global core.autocrlf false
Development environment:
- OS: Windows 11
- git version 2.54.0.windows.1

Thanks for reporting. This appears to be related to Git’s line-ending conversion on Windows.

The fix is merged in #128. Patch input is now normalized to handle CRLF line endings, and patch failures are reported instead of silently skipped.
Please retry with the updated source. We haven’t verified a clean Windows checkout yet; if it still fails with core.autocrlf=true, please reopen this issue with the fetch error.
