Consider Google zx script as alternative to Bash #236
Hi @fdelbrayelle, I'd like to work on this. I checked node.Commands; it already supports inputFiles and beforeCommands, so it looks like we could install zx and run a .mjs script using the existing task. Did you want a dedicated zx task or an example using the existing task? I'd cover command failures and output files in the tests. Could you assign me this once we agree on the direction?
Hi @fdelbrayelle, I'd like to work on this for Kestra Hacktober (no other Kestra issues assigned to me at the moment).
My suggestion would be a dedicated plugin-script-zx module with zx.Script and zx.Commands, following the same layout as the other language modules (bun, deno, etc.). Script would write the inline code to a .mjs file and run it with zx inside a Node image that has zx preinstalled, so users get $, fetch, fs, etc. without any beforeCommands. I'd add tests for a successful run, a failing command propagating a non-zero exit, and output files.
If you'd rather just have a documented example using the existing node.Commands, I'm fine with that too. Could you assign it to me once you've picked a direction?
