Motivation
>=3.9unchanged.requires-pythonremain accurate across the supported runtimes.Description
pyproject.tomlwhile retainingrequires-python = ">=3.9"and the existing 3.9–3.12 classifiers.tests/test_runtime_compatibility.pywhich asserts therequires-pythonentry and that classifiers enumerate exactly3.9–3.14..github/workflows/test.ymlwith a matrix for Python3.9,3.10,3.11,3.12,3.13, and3.14where each job installs the package, imports the complete public API, and runs the full test suite.Testing
PYTHONPATH=src pytest -qandPYTHONPATH=src pytest --collect-only -qwhich resulted in227 passedand227 collected, respectively.python -m compileall -q src testssuccessfully andgit diff --checkshowed no issues.PYENV_VERSIONwhere available and observed227 passedon Python3.10,3.11,3.12,3.13, and3.14, while Python3.9was not installed in the local environment.python -m pip install --editable .but the environment could not fetch build dependencies due to a package-index tunnel returning HTTP 403, so tests were executed fromsrcrather than via an editable install; the CI workflow retains an installation step for reproducible runs.Codex Task
