Phase 0 follow-up: status surfaces agree with the spec on O1-carrier (trope-checker) - #112
After #107 landed, spec/calculus.adoc §3.5 and §10 cite EffectAtomsRatified.lean (Trope.GradeR.atom_factorization) as the operative proof of O1-carrier, and proofs.yml builds and axiom-audits that module. The status surfaces still said the opposite: docs/status/PROOF-STATUS.adoc (the O1-carrier row plus an "Open" bullet) and docs/status/ROADMAP.adoc recorded the atom factorisation as stated on the v0.1 Grade with the GradeR port open, and AFFIRMATION.adoc's 2026-10-27 finding (4) recorded the same. This PR makes the status surfaces say what the spec and the proof tree already say. Docs only; no proof, spec, carrier or ADR content changes.
Related: #103 (status-surface truth), #106 (L6 ruling, untouched here). One commit, branch rebuilt on main4ecba4f after #107 superseded the earlier Phase 0 PR on this branch.
Changes
docs/status/PROOF-STATUS.adoc: O1-carrier row now reads "Proved on the ratified GradeR (EffectAtomsRatified.lean)" with evidence Trope.GradeR.atom_factorization; EffectAtoms.lean is named as the carrier-independent nine-family classification plus history; the "O1-carrier on GradeR" Open bullet is removed (O1-coord stays open).
docs/status/ROADMAP.adoc: the atom-factorisation line ticks O1-carrier on GradeR; O1-coord stays open.
AFFIRMATION.adoc: new "As of 2026-11-04" entry superseding finding (4) of 2026-10-27; records what was and was not run in this session and cites the green proofs.yml run on main (41519571355 at 4ecba4f).
CHANGELOG.adoc: one "Changed" bullet under Unreleased.
RSR Quality Checklist
Required
Tests pass (just test or equivalent) — Rust fast core built at 4ecba4f passes the conformance suite here; Agda/Idris2/Lean NOT RUN here (no toolchain), attested by proofs.yml run 41519571355
Code is formatted (just fmt or equivalent) — no source changed; AsciiDoc only
Linter is clean (no new warnings or errors) — no source changed
No banned language patterns (no TypeScript, ReScript, Deno, Node.js/npm, Go or Python)
No unsafe blocks without // SAFETY: comments — n/a
No banned functions (believe_me, unsafeCoerce, Obj.magic, Admitted, sorry) — grep over EffectAtomsRatified.lean: theorem present, #print axioms present, no sorry
SPDX license headers present on all new/modified source files — existing headers untouched
No secrets, credentials, or .env files included
As Applicable
trope-checker_chora.deed updated — deeds are owner-only; not touched
Run in this session at main4ecba4f plus this commit:
cargo build --release # src/rust, ok
<conformance suite with that binary> # 13 verdict + 9 schema-invalid cases pass
grep -n 'atom_factorization\|#print axioms\|sorry' verification/proofs/lean4/.../EffectAtomsRatified.lean
grep -n EffectAtomsRatified lakefile.toml .github/workflows/proofs.yml
NOT RUN here: Agda, Idris2, Lean (no toolchain). The only evidence claimed for them is proofs.yml run https://github.com/hyperpolymath/trope-checker/actions/runs/41519571355 on main4ecba4f (Agda Theorem B, both Lean packages, the honesty gate and the axiom audit green). The AFFIRMATION entry says exactly this.
…and AFFIRMATION now agree with the spec
What was wrong: after #107, spec/calculus.adoc §3.5 and §10 cite
EffectAtomsRatified.lean (GradeR.atom_factorization) as the operative proof of
O1-carrier, and that module is built and axiom-audited by proofs.yml; but
docs/status/PROOF-STATUS.adoc (the O1-carrier row and an Open bullet) and
docs/status/ROADMAP.adoc still said the atom factorisation was stated on the
v0.1 Grade and that the GradeR port was open, and AFFIRMATION.adoc's finding (4)
of 2026-10-27 recorded the same. The status surfaces contradicted the spec they
summarise.
What changed: the PROOF-STATUS row cites EffectAtomsRatified.lean and names
EffectAtoms.lean as the carrier-independent nine-family classification plus
history; the Open bullet is removed (O1-coord stays); the ROADMAP line says the
same; AFFIRMATION.adoc gains a 2026-11-04 entry that supersedes finding (4),
records what was and was not run here, and cites the green proofs.yml run on
main (41519571355); CHANGELOG gets one line.
What I ran: cargo build --release in src/rust and the conformance suite with
that binary at 4ecba4f -> all pass; grep over EffectAtomsRatified.lean (theorem
present, #print axioms present, no sorry); grep over lakefile.toml and
proofs.yml (module listed).
What I did not run: Agda, Idris2, Lean (no toolchain here); the cited CI run is
the only evidence claimed for them.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Documentation
Updated the proof status and roadmap to record that atom factorisation is proved on the ratified GradeR carrier.
Clarified that the nine-family classification is carrier-independent and that the earlier Grade result is retained as historical context.
Removed the open item for porting atom factorisation to GradeR; O1-coord remains open.
Added a status entry noting that Rust build and conformance checks passed, while Agda, Idris2 and Lean were not run in the container.
The status documents now record atom factorisation as proved on ratified GradeR, retain the carrier-independent nine-family classification, and remove the open-status entry for the GradeR port. The affirmation and changelog record the update and its cited verification evidence.
Changes: Proof status reconciliation

Summary
Align proof status and release records docs/status/PROOF-STATUS.adoc, docs/status/ROADMAP.adoc, AFFIRMATION.adoc, CHANGELOG.adoc
The status pages record atom factorisation on ratified GradeR, identify the nine-family classification as carrier-independent, and remove the open port entry. The affirmation and changelog record the status update and cited evidence.
Issue 106 — This PR updates the cited PROOF-STATUS entry and removes the open item. It documents the proof status but does not add the proof implementation.
Possibly related PRs
hyperpolymath/trope-checker#107 — Introduced the GradeR proof and EffectAtomsRatified.lean, which this PR records as complete.

Explanation
The title names the main change: the status documents are brought into line with the specification on the O1-carrier result. It is specific and matches the changeset, which updates PROOF-STATUS, ROADMAP, AFFIRMATION and CHANGELOG. The 'Phase 0 follow-up' prefix and the '(trope-checker)' suffix add context but do not hide the main point. At 84 characters it is longer than ideal, so this is a minor concern.

The description follows the template structure. It has Summary, Changes, the RSR Quality Checklist with Required and As Applicable items, Testing and Screenshots. It explains why the change is needed and links related issues (#107, #103, #106). Testing is described in detail, and the author states clearly which toolchains were not run. Some template items are unticked with reasons given. The template's placeholder 'Closes #N' line is not used, which is acceptable because the PR references related issues rather than closing one. The description is substantially complete.

README.adoc §Status still said the atom factorisation was "stated on the
v0.1 Grade, not yet restated on GradeR", contradicting spec/calculus.adoc
§3.5/§10, PROOF-STATUS, ROADMAP and AFFIRMATION after 800d44d. It now
names EffectAtomsRatified.lean as the proof on the ratified carrier and
keeps O1-coord open; the CHANGELOG bullet lists the README with the other
two surfaces. Found by Codex review on #112.

One red check on this PR, stated once: Hypatia verdict grid / Hypatia Neurosymbolic Analysis (failed on 800d44d, job 126943159033). It is not this PR's: the same workflow is red on main at this PR's base 4ecba4f (run 41519572416, 2026-11-02) and on the two main commits before it (runs 41400404017 and 41257992669), and this PR touches only four AsciiDoc files, which the scanner's severity gate does not read. #110's description records the state on main: the scan completes at scanner pin adb2f41d and the job then fails its blocking severity gate on one current high/critical finding. No fix for that finding exists in any open PR to port, so nothing is ported here; the disposition of that finding is the owner's. Everything else on the current head 5f7fd0f is green (SonarCloud 0 new issues; Codex and CodeRabbit with no open findings).
