Crashdump feature should enable guest dump creation if host process dumps #966

Open

Description

@simongdavies

If a host process crash dump is created and the crashdump feature is enabled we currently do not create dumps for the guests, this makes scenarios where the host crashed or hangs difficult to diagnose

    Moving this to next milestone so we can discuss how we want to implement this capability

    The main take away is this will help debugging if the host crashes for hard to diagnoses issues.

    There is an implementation, but it is not safe (inherently so since the process is crashing): #992

    @syntactically suggested to post process the host dump. Could we take the host dump and add tooling to collect all the required information? We need to look into if we can get the registers and how it would work on the different platform (windows, mshv)

    Kvm has a feature to map in registers to a page table which might be useful
