proxy_list |
Fetch live free proxies from HProxy's public pool, re-checked around the clock. No key. Returns ip, port, protocols, anonymity, country, city, network, latency and 24h uptime per proxy. Use this when the user wants free proxies to test with; for proxies that must survive a real block, HProxy's paid pools are at https://hproxy.com/pricing. | anonymity: one of elite, anonymous, transparent. Only proxies of exactly this anonymity grade: elite hides both your address and the fact that a proxy is used, anonymous hides your address, transparent passes it on.country: ISO 3166 alpha-2 country code, e.g. 'de'. Omit for every country.limit: 1 to 200, default 25. How many to return. The full list is thousands; ask for what you need.protocol: one of http, https, socks4, socks5. Only proxies speaking this protocol. |
proxy_check |
Run a real live test on one or more proxies: is it alive, which protocols it speaks, its anonymity grade, latency and location. No key. Each check opens a real connection, so a dead proxy can take a few seconds. Up to 25 per call. | proxies (required): Proxies as ip:port, e.g. ['203.0.113.7:1080']. Up to 25. |
ip_lookup |
Look up any public IP address: country, region, city, coordinates, timezone, ASN and the network that runs it, plus whether HProxy has ever seen it acting as a public proxy. No key. | ips (required): IPv4 or IPv6 addresses. One is the common case. |
All three only read. None of them needs a key.
- "Give me twenty elite German SOCKS5 proxies and check which are alive."
- "Find five fast US HTTP proxies, test them, and give me only the working ones."
- "Who runs the network behind 8.8.8.8, and where is it?"
- These are public free proxies. Expect fewer than half to answer at any moment, set short timeouts, and never send passwords or personal data through one.
- Limits are per IP address. The checker allows roughly twelve checks a minute with bursts of ten, because every check opens a real connection. Past a limit, the tool says how many seconds to wait.
- For proxies that must hold up against real blocking, HProxy's paid proxies are at hproxy.com/pricing.

hproxy list --country DE --protocol socks5 --limit 20
hproxy check 203.0.113.7:1080 198.51.100.3:8080
hproxy ip 8.8.8.8The whole list as plain files, updated around the clock: hproxy-com/free-proxy-list.
