Summary

Adds plugin/.codex-plugin/plugin.json, the listing for OpenAI's plugin directory, which ChatGPT and Codex share.

The OpenAI portal accepted the Claude plugin's ZIP as a draft but flagged its listing: a subtitle over 30 characters, no website, support, privacy or terms URL, and no icon. This manifest supplies them:

  • subtitle "Demo videos from one sentence", category Developer Tools, three capabilities, two starter prompts;
  • website, GitHub issues for support, /privacy/ (docs(website): publish a privacy policy #1339) and the MIT LICENSE as terms;
  • requires_local_executor: true, since the skill runs the app and gh (desktop-only badge);
  • the existing .claude-plugin/icon.png as logo and composer icon.

Uploaded to the draft before committing: every metadata finding cleared. Two findings remain, neither fixable here:

  • "We are not accepting more skills-only submissions at this time." OpenAI has closed skills-only submissions, so nothing is submitted yet.
  • "This skill may install or load code from an untrusted or mutable source": the skill offers to install the latest release. A separate decision.

Claude Code ignores .codex-plugin/.

Type of change

  • Feature

Release impact

  • No release note needed

Desktop impact

  • Not platform-specific

Testing

  • claude plugin validate plugin --strict: passes.
  • Draft upload on platform.openai.com/plugins with this manifest: metadata checks pass; only the two findings above remain.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added the OpenScreen plugin, which provides screen-recording and video-editing capabilities.
    • Added suggested prompts for creating a demo video or adding a video to an open pull request.

ChatGPT and Codex share one plugin directory. Its portal read the Claude
manifest but flagged the listing: subtitle over 30 characters, no website,
support, privacy or terms URL, no icon. This manifest supplies them, marks
the plugin desktop-only (the skill runs the app and gh), and reuses the
Claude icon. Uploaded to the portal's draft, every metadata finding cleared.
