On the Node 20 leg in .github/workflows/nodejs-test.yml, this upgrade installs Vitest 5.0.1 even though its lockfile metadata requires Node ^22.12.0 || ^24.0.0 || >=26.0.0. The project still declares Node >=20.19.0 and explicitly runs npm run test:vi under Node 20, so that supported environment now uses an unsupported test runner and can fail before executing the suite; retain Vitest 4 or update the declared support and CI matrix together.
