Selected playground buttons could display white text on their light background while hovered, including when a touch browser retains hover after a tap. Restrict the shared hover rule to unselected buttons so provider, theme, preset, customization, connection, calibration direction, and manual state selections keep their dark text.
The button audit also found low-contrast text in homepage mode/theme/state controls, copy actions, integration descriptions, calibration instructions, and the debug theme's inactive state and Stop buttons. Brighten those labels while preserving the selected palettes. Includes a patch changeset for the debug theme defaults.
Related to #53: this addresses button text only. The reported cloud animation artifact remains unresolved and the cloud shader is unchanged.
Validation:
pnpm checkpassed (87 unit tests and 8 browser tests, plus formatting, lint, typechecks, and library/demo builds). Additional browser checks cover ordinary, selected, hovered, and focused button states across every provider, the homepage, embedded demo, and blog. Public docs button checks passed in light and dark themes. Touch emulation retained hover on the selected listening button with dark text; this is not testing on a physical Android device. No roadmap update is needed for these control contrast fixes; no roadmap feature or public API changes. Documentation and example usage remain the same.
Authored with Codex (GPT-6), prompted to audit similar button-text bugs throughout the site and open a separate PR for the contrast fixes.
