Replace the acknowledgment special-case with one principle: the reply is a conversation turn — match what was said at the scope it was said. Sentinel stays as a one-line escape hatch for when a reply adds nothing.

Per Stefan: the agent should engage with what the person says rather than follow special-cased rules. One general principle — reply at the scope of the comment (question → grounded answer, review ask → analysis, thanks/joke → one warm line).
