Shift Ctrl k is assigned to two different actions #1827

Description

@barbayellow

What Happened?

When the markdown plugin is activated, the shortcut to create a link on some text is Shift Ctrl K. However this shortcut is already assigned to the "Duplicate tab" behavior. So each time I had a link on a text using this shortcut, code open a duplicate tab of my document. Not a big issue but an annoying one.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. activate the markdown plugin
  2. open a markdown doc
  3. create a link on a text using the Shift Ctrl K shortcut
  4. Tadam! markdown syntax in inserted AND a new duplicate tab is opened

Expected Behavior

  1. create a link on a text using the Shift Ctrl K shortcut
  2. markdown syntax is insreted, no new duplicate tab is opened

    @barbayellow Thanks for noticing this. If you have any preference as to the markdown shortcut please let me know. (Ctrl + K and Shift + Ctrl + K are already used in the main code).

    @jeremypw Shift + Ctrl + L is often a standard for this action. If already taken Alt + Shift + A is also often used.

    Hi,
    I wast just wondering if the #1828 solved the issue. It seems it did not because of a failed CI check. Let me know if I can help.

    @barbayellow The PR is not blocked because of the CI failure (it is not released as flatpak and not targeted at ubuntu-latest) but because of lack of approval from the other developers. @danirabbit seems to prefer Ctrl + K for this action but that is already in use for another main code action. What is your opinion on this?

    Adding a new keyboard shortcut would be the best option. You won't change any user habits. Ctrl + K is also useful to remove several lines while keeping the content of the clipboard untouched. Gedit - which I guess Code is probably a fork since both apps share a lot in the UI - uses Alt + Shift + A to add a link on a text in a markdown document. That is the best option IMHO.
