About

Every project below uses 100% public Statcast/Baseball Savant data, is fully reproducible, and — when a finding turned out to be wrong — says so in the same repo, corrected in the open.

Featured Work

Re-verified this portfolio's core thesis (raw physical tool vs. specific skill) across hitting, pitching, and defense using original datasets from three prior projects. Hitting turned out to be the exception — and the repo documents exactly why, including a coefficient-scaling bug caught and corrected along the way.

Hitters' swing timing defaults to fastball calibration — early-swing rate jumps 30-45x against off-speed and breaking pitches, league-wide.

Extends the raw-tool-vs-skill pattern to defense for the first time: reaction and burst predict outfield range far better than raw sprint speed.

Fusing S&C and biomechanics: velocity and arm-angle recovery trajectories for 5 verified Tommy John surgery cases.

Empirically tested an arm-angle-based elbow torque proxy against real Tommy John surgery history — 165 pitchers, no meaningful separation found. A negative result, published because it's true.

Methodology

All projects follow the same standard: public data only, reproducible code, bilingual documentation (English/Spanish), and honest reporting of negative results and corrections — not just findings that confirm the hypothesis.
