Where `/myredis/conf/` is a local directory containing your `redis.conf` file. Using this method means that there is no need for you to have a Dockerfile for your redis container.

The mapped directory should be writable, as depending on the configuration and mode of operation, Redis may need to create additional configuration files or rewrite existing ones.

### CONFIG REWRITE behavior

Starting with image version 8.12-rc2, set `ENABLE_SOURCE_AWARE_CONFIG_REWRITE=yes` to prevent `CONFIG REWRITE` from copying command-line settings and unchanged settings from included files into the main `redis.conf`. In particular, this prevents [duplicate module loading on restart](https://github.com/redis/redis/issues/14178).

It controls Redis’s experimental [`config-rewrite-source-aware`](https://github.com/redis/redis/pull/16009) option. This behavior is expected to become the default in the next major release.
