Summary

  • exclude only exact root-level .codex-provisioning-<16 hex>.guard runtime files
  • preserve similarly named and nested guard files
  • protect live destination guards during restore
  • keep the GUI in a clear failed state after an unsuccessful operation
  • add regression coverage and release documentation for version 3.4.11

Verification

  • full source, EXE, and extracted ZIP self-tests passed
  • 97 automated checks passed
  • Ruff passed
  • git diff --check passed
  • successful real-world backup test, including a 1.6 GiB rollout
