See research below, the $\textcolor{purple}{\text{fix is for someone on Directus DX Team to restore the redirect for to a valid discord link}}$ (https://discord.com/invite/directus is working just fine on the main page). A PR to change the Discord link in this repo leaves the backlinks from old articles pointing to the wrong place.

Researching a bit more... Sometime in April 2025 the url http://directus.chat had it's 301 redirect updated from discord.gg/directus to community.directus.io but that's inconsistent with many of the backlinks I can find:

This commit changed the readme.md on the directus/directus repo from directus.chat to discord.com/invite/directus in preparation for v12.

Option 1 (Recommend)

Internally address the redirect so that directus.chat 301's to discord.com/invite/directus then:

• restore directus/directus:main readme.md back to the directus.chat url
• update the main directus site footer to use directus.chat url

Option 2

This normalizes the footer between directus.com and directus.com/docs but leaves the above table still incorrectly referencing Discord when it goes to the community page.

@bryantgillespie since your name appears in many of the backlinks I think it's something you might have the power to do. (p.s. your personal domain has a backlink as well but it 404's currently)
