Summary

  • fix(bench): compare the fixture commit at a fixed abbreviation
  • docs(readme): benchmarks from the 0.6.3 routine run
  • docs(readme): drop the benchmarks section

The routine run refused an unmoved fixture: git's default abbreviation grew to 502e8a6d2, and the script compared against the hard-coded 502e8a6d. With the check at --short=8, bench/history/run-zerograph.sh recorded both arms on a clean tree.

The README no longer carries a benchmarks section; the numbers below land in docs/benchmarks.md and runs.jsonl.

Suite Default --no-dense
Keyword 40/40 39/40
Paraphrase 19 → 20/30 7/30
Code 12/12 12/12

p90 244 → 222 tokens (lexical arm 238 → 228). docs/assets/comparison.png is not regenerated; it needs the three-tool harness.

Test plan

  • bench/history/run-zerograph.sh passes the fixture check and records tool_dirty=false rows for both arms

git's default abbreviation grows with the object count, so the corpus
checkout began printing 502e8a6d2 and the routine run refused a fixture
that had not moved.
Paraphrase under the default embedder reads 20/30 and the p90 222 tokens
on the pinned fixture; both arms' rows are recorded in runs.jsonl.
The full tables live in docs/benchmarks.md, which the nav and the Bench
row already link; the Sources line goes back to the 0.6.0 rows the
comparison image was drawn from.
