Summary

This is the analysis document underpinning the 2026-07-25 incident response.

Incorporates the D3 identity-capture gap, the per-pane-type restore contract, and the roadmap that PRs #534 (client attach-leak fix) and #535 (tab-diff verify NO CAPTURED IDENTITY verdict) reference.

Status: rev 3 — council-reviewed twice; this revision incorporates all round-2 gates; pending final council confirmation.

Impact

  • Defines the complete per-pane resilience quality matrix (§1, table)
  • Documents structural defects D1–D8 and per-pane analysis for all types
  • Specifies target architecture (hybrid authority, server-durable ledger, verdict-driven restore)
  • Prioritized roadmap: P0 (5 correctness fixes), P1 (9 structural items), P2 (hardening)
  • Verification wall with red tests and expected-fail design-gate entries

Docs-only change.
