Description of Changes
We have a single pre-commit hook to run
rustfmt. It has been out-of-sync with our actual CI checks many times. We keep getting AI PRs to tweak it. Almost nobody uses it.Given everything above, I think we should just remove this (although I will admittedly add back an untracked one for myself that runs
cargo fmt --all).API and ABI breaking changes
