External DRS-jSnake mini-app, hidden launchers and opt-in board engine #30
Tracks the current Snake request under #2/#26. Board-owned Snake must stay disabled in current builds; keycontroller excludes it. Opening controls must never actuate LEDs. Preserve scenes, topology and corrections. Work: actual DRS-jSnake donor inventory/read/adaptation; standalone removable host app and wraparound mapping; lease-bound host presentation; shared controls/live observers; Rust CLI/IPC, Android intent and Web launch paths; optional board engine/runtime gating; targeted tests and actual running-launcher verification. Hardware output acceptance remains separately gated by the production hold. No completion claimed yet.
Checkpoint 9421679 is pushed to PR #27. Implemented: removable mini-apps/snake host server/UI/engine, staggered 20x4 logical mapping and wall wrap, controls/editor/map validation, growth/seeds/autoplay/immortal settings, shared SSE observers, temporary peer-bound WebSocket-first presentation with conservative HTTP fallback and no uncertain mutation replay. Added hidden Rust CLI/typed IPC and Android URI/ADB launchers; opening does not start a round. Optional board engine and runtime opt-in added, but production candidate explicitly has PAKAR_BOARD_SNAKE=0; keycontroller rejects inclusion. No board contacted, flashed or actuated.
Verified: 11 Node tests including real loopback WebSocket frames/renewal/release; compiled C++ Snake core assertions; Rust Check and typed launcher unit test passed; Android release APK built (SHA256 3acee45970636f6057a2d142ac8bfc3b5fca3649fd668e91c3a4d20a9dc799ea); default-disabled S3 candidate built (SHA256 5c91e0e93ceadd3c14f96712cd51fe30df6e93964dd6618db11d0fa3385e1eae), 2310455/3342336 bytes. Host browser UI was opened and interacted with, collecting food/growing and reaching collision/game-over, restarting, applying settings; LED output checkbox remained off. Peer-fence/living-contract/reuse guards passed.
Donor: 18 filesystem entries inventoried; 16 source/asset comparisons recorded, 2 archive comparisons remain open. Useful omissions are explicitly pending, not excluded: independent two-player mode, permission-gated tilt, larger host-only donor maps, archive delta review, standalone Android hosting. Installed Rust/Android launcher acceptance and actual LED acceptance are still open. ASUS SSH currently refuses handshake, so no remote deployment is claimed. Optional enabled-board integration also still needs enabled-profile verification before any opt-in release. Current source does not constitute completed full donor parity. #30 remains open.
Tablet delivery checkpoint: hidden Android launcher verified installed on SM-X906B R52T60C6V9B. Deployed removable Node Snake host on ASUS and opened the actual tablet Chrome controls screen via wireless ADB reverse. Tablet was on keycontroller AP; switched it to ledcontroller, then verified wireless serial 192.168.4.5:5555 against its hardware serial. Screenshot shows Ready, Start enabled, no active board presentation. Never pressed Start. Added shared finite app/AVR sound cues, explicit Stop & restore with readback, page-exit stop fenced by round ID, and timeout fallback. 14 Node tests and portable Snake/presentation tests pass. Sounds and physical scene restoration have NOT been exercised on production. Exact blocker: running ledcontroller esp32s3-907069eaaf34 lacks host-presentation capability and GET /api/presentation returns Not found. Board update approval requested; no flash/reboot/output mutation performed. ASUS host must remain running and wireless reverse must be recreated after ADB reconnect; this is host-owned gameplay, not standalone Android execution. Production acceptance remains open.
User explicitly approved preparing and updating ledcontroller for host-owned Snake while leaving the game stopped. Fresh backups on ASUS and David-PC: current 2,279,360-byte firmware SHA256 0908c56d45bf7103b44e74e0debf9d580a170f9eb855e0406dc47d2529a6874f; saved correction revision152 (14 rules), all cell assignments, topology, mapping and configuration. Canonical table-role build in progress with16MiB flash,8MiB OPI PSRAM, verified ISP capability retained, Ethernet included, BLE/SSH/board-owned Snake disabled, both LED backends and RMT default. No game frame or tone sent. Also corrected launcher admission to actual firmware table role/capability fields;15 Node tests now pass.
Approved ledcontroller OTA deployed: ESP image 2,314,752 bytes, SHA256 0dfa850ce696b949177e040e04be2c5f0644c763c2333ab29ee05308ec73fc8b; board esp32s3-907069eaaf34 new boot 9f3f50b63ecf76fb9a294635184fecaa. Upload 20,891ms. Initial updater range readback interrupted by ASUS Wi-Fi disconnect; no upload replay. Separate read-only full firmware export verified exact candidate SHA, boot_integrity_verified=true and running/boot slot 3407872 VALID state2. All80 semantic assignments, corrections enabled/revision152/14 rules/sources, and group layout matched pre-update backup before gameplay. Host presentation preflight passed over WS with80 groups and acknowledged buzzer; board-owned Snake remains compiled out, BLE/SSH disabled. User then explicitly requested Start; clicked tablet Start via observed accessibility bounds. run1 running/active/uncertain=false, soundWarning/error empty. Later user rounds2/3 observed, game-over screenshot reports released layer; board confirmed temporary=false/persistent=false/lease0 after round2. Physical light/sound and final restored-scene acceptance await user feedback. Cells8 and39 changed idle->lost after gameplay began; asked whether another controller changed them, no overwrite/restoration attempted. Tablet wireless ADB now192.168.4.2:5555 verified serialR52T60C6V9B; reverse18490 restored after reboot. Controller remains ASUS-hosted and needs ASUS running. No AVR flash.
Human feedback: Snake worked, navigation awkward. Implemented and deployed 6b9d75f: cross-shaped large D-pad beside tablet arena, contact-time turns, direction indication, continuous captured swipes (no page scrolling), keyboard/accessibility activation retained. UI refreshed only after round3 ended, not mid-play. Targeted Node tests15/15 and JS syntax pass. Tablet screenshot captured for visual layout review. User physical/audible feedback 'worked' received; detailed sound path acceptance not separately reported. Pending user response about cells8/39 intentional changes remains; never overwrite them.
Final tablet layout now visually verified on actual SM-X906B screenshot snake-dpad-repaired-20261028.png: right-side cross D-pad, table and all controls fit landscape, no overlap/clipping. Earlier capture was an old tab and another captured loading; those were not accepted as layout evidence. Recreated the specific ADB reverse tunnel and opened current assets; read-only Chrome target inventory used to identify own Snake pages, unrelated tabs untouched. Temporary diagnostic CDP forward19222 removed; game reverse18490 remains. Current round ended normally; updated controls await next human round.

Tablet controller restored after user manually stopped old host process. Corrected host PID 28424 on ASUS, loopback port 18490; wireless ADB identity SM-X906B/R52T60C6V9B at 192.168.4.5:5555 verified, reverse tunnel re-established, /snake?board=1 opened. Screenshot inspected: Ready, table target selected, tablet/board sound enabled. runId=0, no round, lease, tone or LED frame started. Visible donor names removed in c3bf1b2; source attribution retained. Approved ESP table build remains running; no OTA yet, verified rollback and scene/correction backups preserved.
