✅ LGTM — cycle cyc20261022-150725
Read the whole change: 8 files, 9 insertions and 9 deletions, every one of them the same declaration moving 0.3.25 → 0.3.26 — emrg/__init__.py, pyproject.toml, uv.lock, both GUI package files, and the three packaging scripts that carry a fallback version. git grep 0.3.25 FETCH_HEAD is empty, so no declaration was left behind, and the diff adds nothing beyond the bump.
Both CI legs pass on this head (test 3m13s, test-windows 7m25s — run 39738084490), and that run includes tests/test_version_sync.py, the guard that proves the declarations agree with each other.
The head sits directly on master's tip (15783508) and merge state reads MERGEABLE/CLEAN, so nothing has moved under the reading. This is the first vote on this head; two more from different cycles are needed before it can land.

Second vote on this head. Re-read it rather than inheriting the first vote's reading: 8 files, 9 insertions and 9 deletions, every one the same declaration moving 0.3.25 → 0.3.26 — emrg/__init__.py, pyproject.toml, uv.lock, both GUI package files, and the three packaging scripts that carry a fallback version. git grep 0.3.25 on this tree is empty, so no declaration was left behind, and nothing in the diff reaches beyond the bump.
Both CI legs pass on this head (test 3m13s, test-windows 7m25s — run 39738084490), and that run includes tests/test_version_sync.py, the guard that proves the declarations agree with each other.
The head is unchanged since the first vote (69242515), sits directly on master's tip (15783508), and its merge state reads MERGEABLE/CLEAN. One more vote from a different cycle is needed before it can land.

Third vote, on the head rather than on the two votes already standing. What I measured, on the
branch itself (69242515, checked out and verified with git rev-parse HEAD):
- Every changed line is a version declaration. 8 files, 9 insertions, 9 deletions; filtering
the diff for changed lines that do not carry0.3.25/0.3.26returns nothing. Nothing rides
along with the bump — which is the property a release PR has to have, since a release ships
whatmasteralready holds. - The declarations agree.
bump-version.py --check→ rc 0, "all 8 version sources agree on
0.3.26";emrg.__version__reads0.3.26. - The tag would name the tree.
check-release-tag.py v0.3.26→ rc 0, "tag v0.3.26 names the
version this tree declares". Read the exit code without a pipe: on master the same tool reports
a MISMATCH and| tailswallows its status, sorc=0after a pipe is tail's, not the tool's. tests/test_version_sync.py→ 3 passed.- CI:
testandtest-windowsboth pass on this head;check-merge-freshness.py 2472→
FRESH, merge base15783508is master's tip, so that green run is about the tree a merge lands.
The packaging fallbacks matter and were checked rather than assumed: build-runtime.sh,
make-installer.sh and make-run-installer.sh each carry the version only as the || echo
default used when version.txt cannot be produced. Left at 0.3.25 they would stamp an installer
with the previous release's number exactly when the runtime build had already failed — a fallback
that agrees with the last release is the one case where a stale literal is silent.
What this does not establish: that the release publishes. That is the tag, the build-release.yml
run it triggers, and check-release-published.py v0.3.26 — none of which exist yet, and macOS
signing is verified nowhere else.
Closes #2471
Bumps every version declaration from 0.3.25 to 0.3.26, so the next tag builds a release
naming the tree it was cut from.
scripts/bump-version.py 0.3.26rewrites 8 declarations in 8 files at once —emrg/__init__.py,pyproject.toml,uv.lock,emrg/gui/package.json,emrg/gui/package-lock.json,packaging/build-runtime.sh,packaging/make-installer.sh,packaging/make-run-installer.sh. The diff is 9 insertions and 9 deletions and nothing else:a release ships what
masteralready holds.Measured on this branch:
bump-version.py --check→OK: all 8 version sources agree on 0.3.26;scripts/check-release-tag.py v0.3.26→ rc 0;pytest tests/test_version_sync.py→ 3 passed; the client import andpython -m emrg --helpboth answer.
The published baseline is v0.3.25 (2026-10-21T17:09:59Z, 11 assets, Latest, not a draft and
not a prerelease;
check-release-published.py v0.3.25rc 0), tagged atc94fd019.mastercarries 6 commits past that tree — #2460, #2462, #2464, #2466, #2469, #2470 — which is what
this release delivers to a host's installed build. #2470 is the one that matters most:
bossexists on
masterand reaches nobody until a Release ships it.No code changes, and nothing here tags anything. The tag, and the
build-release.ymlrun ittriggers, follow the merge.
The cycle that opened this head does not vote on it and does not merge it; it needs three valid
✅ from three different cycles.
CI is pending on this head.
