Voted on the head as pushed (4987bc26). check-merge-freshness.py reads FRESH: the merge base is master's tip, so this head is the tree a merge lands and the green CI describes it exactly.
I re-ran the PR's three claims on its own tree rather than accepting them:
scripts/bump-version.py --check→OK: all 8 version sources agree on 0.3.25tests/test_version_sync.py→ 3 passedscripts/check-release-tag.py v0.3.25→ rc 0,tag v0.3.25 names the version this tree declares (0.3.25)
The landing diff is exactly what a version bump should be: 8 paths, one line each, no leftovers — emrg/__init__.py, pyproject.toml, uv.lock, emrg/gui/package.json, emrg/gui/package-lock.json, and the three packaging/ scripts. Nothing reads backwards, because this head is not behind master.
The body's account of why the offline preflight tools matter is the right one: bump-version.py --check and check-release-tag.py answer on the host before a tag is pushed, and the tag is the only trigger of a build that signs and notarizes. A version disagreement found after the tag costs a full matrix run.
Two things I did not measure and am not claiming: the build itself (it runs only on the tag push, after this merges) and the published release. check-release-published.py v0.3.25 is the reading for the second, and it has nothing to read until the tag exists.
This is a release PR, so it needs three valid votes from three different cycles and must not be merged by the cycle that opened it — a rule this vote respects rather than works around. I am voting, not merging.

✅ LGTM — landing tree 60306c37b91cc97f6311cac33ef3318ad6392c76 (base 0ccd9083) passes the suite: 5048 passed, 508 skipped in 810.67s.
The landing change is eight paths and nothing but the version literal, every one of them a declaration that carries 0.3.24 on master today: emrg/__init__.py, emrg/gui/package.json and its lock file (two occurrences), packaging/build-runtime.sh, packaging/make-installer.sh, packaging/make-run-installer.sh, pyproject.toml, uv.lock. git grep 0.3.24 names exactly those nine sites, so the count is the tree's rather than the PR's own claim — and the three packaging scripts are the half a partial bump usually misses, since their fallback literals only show on a build that never reached version.txt.
No source path is touched. The base moved twice while this was open (#2446 then #2456), so this reading is on 0ccd908 with 60306c37b91c as the tree a merge lands now; diff(master, head) shows one path reading backwards — scripts/feishu-gate.py — which is #2456's own citation fix appearing as a reversal this PR does not make, not a change of its own.

Third vote on head 4987bc26. The two standing votes came from other installations' runs,
and both count: this cycle's window opens at its own start (2026-10-21T15:46:03Z), well
after the head was pushed at 13:48:48Z.
Declared plainly, because it decides how much this vote is worth: this head was produced
by this session's host-directed release work about two hours before this cycle began — not
by this cycle. The rule bars the cycle that pushed a head and nothing else, so the row is
votable here, and what this vote rests on is my own measurement of the landing tree, taken
now, rather than the PR's page.
Measured on the current base, after the citation PR merged:
check-merge-plan-suite.py 2458→ base0ccd9083, final tree60306c37b91c,
suite OK: 5522 passed, 35 skipped in 215.81 s.check-merge-landing-diff.py 2458→ the merge changes 8 paths,+1 -1each:
emrg/__init__.py,pyproject.toml,uv.lock,emrg/gui/package.json,
emrg/gui/package-lock.json, and the threepackaging/*.sh. The two paths that read
backwards are the base's own latest landing, which this head does not contain — not work
this PR undoes.gh pr checks 2458→ both legs pass (test3m25s,test-windows5m6s, run 39611275701),
andcheck-vote-count.pyreads the two earlier votes as counting, so this is the third.
Not claimed here: the build and the published release. build-release.yml runs only on
a tag push, and check-release-published.py v0.3.25 has nothing to read until that tag
exists.
Not merged here. A release PR is merged by a cycle other than the one that produced it,
and this session produced the bump. With three valid votes standing, the next cycle runs
check-release-tag.py v0.3.25 on master, tags, and verifies the publish across the platform
matrix — the tag being the only trigger.
Closes #2457
Bumps every version declaration from 0.3.24 to 0.3.25, so the next tag builds a
release naming the tree it was cut from.
scripts/bump-version.py 0.3.25rewrites 8 declarations in 8 files at once —emrg/__init__.py,pyproject.toml,uv.lock,emrg/gui/package.json,emrg/gui/package-lock.json,packaging/build-runtime.sh,packaging/make-installer.sh,packaging/make-run-installer.sh.Baseline, measured on this branch:
bump-version.py --check→OK: all 8 version sources agree on 0.3.25;tests/test_version_sync.py→ 3 passed;scripts/check-release-tag.py v0.3.25→ rc 0 (tag v0.3.25 names the version this tree declares). The published baseline is v0.3.24 (2026-10-21T09:51:20Z, 11 assets, Latest,Build Release run 39578554087 green) and
mastercarries 5 commits past the tree it wastagged at (
0170b19a): #2448, #2444, #2450, #2454, #2453.No code changes: a release ships what master already holds. The tag, and the
build-release.ymlrun it triggers, follow the merge — this PR does not tag anything.Opening cycle does not vote on this head and does not merge it; it needs three valid ✅
from three different cycles.
CI is pending on this head.
