πŸ’‘ What:

Added descriptive help tooltips to various statistical and financial parameter inputs (e.g., "Factor Beta Window", "Transaction Cost (bps)", "Volatility Alert") in the src/dashboard.py sidebar.

🎯 Why:

To provide immediate context to non-expert users regarding the expected inputs and units (like basis points or percentiles) without cluttering the UI. This reduces data entry errors and makes the application more accessible.

β™Ώ Accessibility / UX:

  • Implemented using Streamlit's native help parameter to ensure tooltips integrate cleanly with the existing design system.
  • Standardized tooltips for financial inputs to explicitly include concrete examples (e.g., 10 bps = 0.10%) as established in the new UX learning journal entry.
