...it's not meant to be offensive, I know it's a lot of work...and I want to sincerely thank you for your work! ...there are so many plugins.

This is a supposed thing. It's a warning that will always show up, even if you're up-to-date. A lot of plugins do this, as a troubleshooting step (it might even be a built-in thing of Spigot). The real problem is the timed out thing.
