Superuser Labs

We research and develop free and open-source software that empowers people.

Founded by brothers Erik and Johan Bjäreholt, Superuser Labs is a small Swedish company working on personal AI agents, developer tools, and tools for understanding how we spend our time.

Our projects

Most of our work lives in dedicated GitHub organizations:

  • gptme: A personal AI agent with tools for code, files, the terminal, and the web. Run it locally or use the managed service at gptme.ai. Documentation →
  • ActivityWatch: Free, open-source, automated time tracking. Cross-platform, extensible, and local-first, so your data stays on your device. Website →
  • Bob: An autonomous AI developer built with gptme, contributing to our open-source projects and exploring how agents can collaborate with people. Website →
  • uniswap-python: A Python library for interacting with Uniswap.

This organization hosts our company website, public company information, and earlier experiments such as Thankful (discontinued).

We offer consulting in AI agents and LLM integration, developer tooling, full-stack development, and machine learning.
