After import_leave_balances (path-based, destructive, host approval required), render the result: matched count, unmatchedEmployees with the Xero name that failed to match, warnings for implausible balances, and the mayHaveBeenApplied uncertain-write state with its recovery text. Read-only over the tool result; a re-import is a new tool call through the host prompt, never a page-side retry.
