Unofficial build of Ramen Software Textify 1.10.4 that runs without an installer. This is not an official release.
Textify.ini is not compatible with the original. Do not reuse an official ini file. It is not bundled. If missing, factory defaults are written on first run.
The name Somen (thin noodles) means a simpler cut of Ramen Software's Textify.

Based on
- Put this folder wherever you like.
- Run Textify.exe.
- Drag the icon on the left onto the text you want, then release.
- The captured text appears in the same window.
The original shortcuts still work (default: Shift+middle click, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T).
-hidewnd
Start without showing the window. The window appears when you capture text.
Closing the window exits unless Stay in system tray is on.
For a startup shortcut that keeps running, turn that on and set the target toTextify.exe -hidewnd.-exit
Exit the running Textify instance.-exit_if_running
If Textify is already running, exit that instance. If it is not running, start normally.

- Marked as unofficial on the window and in the exe properties (ProductName: Textify Somen).
- No installer: this is a ZIP-distributed portable. The updater is removed as well, since it assumed the installer.
- Captured text is shown on the main window. The separate result window is removed.
- The four default buttons are Google, Google Translate, X(Twitter), and Edge (an example of specifying an executable), shown as text instead of icons.
- popup-opera! and popup-vivaldi! can be used in addition to the original popup-web! / popup-chrome! / popup-edge! / popup-firefox! / popup-brave!.
- Non-English UI is stored as UTF-8 text in the lang folder, and can also be switched from More settings.
- The original always stayed in the system tray (stay_in_tray). That is now optional and off by default. hide_wnd_on_startup only applies when stay_in_tray is on.
- "Remember position" stores the window position only (not the size).
- Removed original options: check_for_updates, auto_copy_selection, hide_tray_icon, unicode_spaces_to_ascii, [exclude], web-button icon / icon_size / buttons_per_row, and popup-ie-control! (WebApp.dll).
- Install Visual Studio with the Desktop development with C++ workload.
- Open
src-1.10.4/Textify.sln. - Restore NuGet packages (WTL).
- Build Release | Win32.
The exe is src-1.10.4/Release/Textify.exe.

名前の「Somen（そうめん）」は、Ramen Software の Textify から機能を削ってシンプルにした、という意味です。

- このフォルダーを好きな場所へ置く
- Textify.exe を実行する
- 左のアイコンを、取得したい文字の上までドラッグして離す
- 取得した文字が同じ窓に表示される
従来どおりのショートカットも使えます（既定は Shift+中クリック、Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T）。

起動時にウィンドウを出さない。文字を取ったときに窓が出る。
「システムトレイに常駐」がオフのときは、窓を閉じると終了する。
スタートアップで起動したままにするときは、それをオンにして、ショートカットのリンク先をTextify.exe -hidewndにする。-exit
起動中の Textify を終了する。-exit_if_running
すでに起動している場合は、それを終了する。起動していなければ普通に起動する。

- 本家の popup-web! / popup-chrome! / popup-edge! / popup-firefox! / popup-brave! に加え、popup-opera! と popup-vivaldi! が使える。
- 英語以外の UI は lang フォルダーの UTF-8 テキストに外出しし、詳細設定からも切り替え可能に。
- 本家は必ずシステムトレイ常駐（stay_in_tray）だったがオプション化し初期値はオフ。これに伴い hide_wnd_on_startup は stay_in_tray がオンのときだけ有効。
- 「位置を記憶」で位置だけ記憶できる（サイズは記憶しない）。
- 本家から削除した項目: check_for_updates、auto_copy_selection、hide_tray_icon、unicode_spaces_to_ascii、[exclude]、ウェブボタンの icon / icon_size / buttons_per_row、popup-ie-control!（WebApp.dll）。
- Visual Studio に「C++ によるデスクトップ開発」を入れる。
src-1.10.4/Textify.slnを開く。- NuGet パッケージ（WTL）を復元する。
- Release | Win32 でビルドする。
exe は src-1.10.4/Release/Textify.exe です。
