Native-speaker review of lectures/pandas.md — Pandas — for the Malayalam edition, by Adisankar.
How the round works. The draft is open as #26, made with release v0.29.3 of the translation engine. Review the whole lecture there: put a suggestion block on any line you would change, or commit a larger change to the pull request's branch. When your review is complete, approve the pull request and mention @mmcky in the summary. Matt then applies your suggestions with you credited as co-author, updates the engine from your review before the next lecture is drafted, and merges the pull request, which closes this issue. How a review round works has the details. There is no deadline.
- What matters most: meaning errors; Malayalam where the edition's policy keeps English (over-translation); terms that disagree with the glossary or the Malayalam page; register that departs from the classroom teacher's voice; Malayalam that reads unnaturally.
- Please skip the headings, the code cells and the exercise blocks (each exercise, hint and solution), which stay identical to the English, and the
translation: block at the top of the file.
- An error in the English goes upstream: open an issue in QuantEcon/lecture-python-programming, link it in a comment on the line, and leave the translation matching the English as it stands; your review goes ahead without waiting for the fix.
About this lecture. The English runs to about 1,900 words of prose and 70 code cells, with two exercises (kept in English, so not for review). The footnote that defines munging, at the end of the lecture, is outside the exercise blocks, so it needs review like the rest of the prose; the draft leaves it in English. Much of the output is data downloaded when the page is built (from FRED, the World Bank and Yahoo Finance), so numbers in the preview can differ from the English site.
