Summary

Adds Noir Gear NOIR S1 configurator support using the existing public K-snake protocol client. No new protocol driver is introduced here.

Included

  • Recognizes the protocol's reported K-snake / NOIR S1 identity and presents the Noir Gear brand in OpenMouse.
  • Adds the S1 Overview profile selector and local configuration slots for buttons, DPI, and macros.
  • Keeps all six factory DPI stages active, uses the S1 factory indicator-color order, and removes the unsupported single-DPI editor.
  • Provides button remapping, scroll direction, and macro recording/editing with save-to-device behavior; keeps the firmware-fixed Left Click locked.
  • Hides lighting and LOD controls that the S1 vendor configurator does not expose.
  • Updates the UI preview and local profile when button defaults are restored.

Verification

  • npm run check: production TypeScript/Vite build succeeded; 260 tests passed.
  • Hardware validation previously recorded by the Noir Gear contributor: USB wired and 2.4 GHz operation; button remapping, macro assignment/playback, and DPI cycling confirmed. Profiles 2–6 and restoring button defaults were exercised over 2.4 GHz.
  • The 2.4 GHz Hardware Test reported 13 passed, 0 failed, 1 skipped. The polling-rate sample was skipped because movement was not observed during that run.

Known limitations

  • Profile slots are browser-local and must be explicitly applied; they are not native onboard profile banks.
  • Firmware macro readback is unreliable. The editor starts with local blank slots and writes the macro table when saved; users should export their setup before moving browsers/computers.
  • Left Click is fixed by the shared K-snake protocol.
  • Reset restores button mappings only; a complete vendor-style factory reset is not implemented or claimed.

Artwork

The code reserves the noir-s1.png artwork mapping but does not add a binary asset. Please see artwork request #451 for the official configurator reference and licensing review; maintainers can upload approved art after review.
