Brief description of what is fixed or changed

Website redesign updates across homepage, product hubs, and supporting pages:

  • Shared OpenMS-lib pro layout across hub/product and community/support pages
  • Soft transparent blue numbers/icons on hub and contribute surfaces
  • Contribute spacing, white hero CTA icons, and Ways to Contribute card treatment aligned with other hubs
  • WebApps Features centering, featured apps CTA, and interactive card hover polish
  • Foundation sponsorship levels as pricing-style cards with benefit comparison table
  • Privacy progressive disclosure plus homepage, community, contact, donate, and navbar UI improvements

Website checklist (content / config PRs)

  • Netlify deploy preview checked (link below when ready)
  • If config.yaml: valid YAML, homepage (and affected pages) reviewed on preview
  • If news post: date, summary, and type: news set; article and /news listing checked
  • If new images: files under static/, paths use /images/...
  • No secrets or internal-only URLs committed

Maintainer docs: docs/README.md

Test plan

  • Check /, /openms-lib/, /pyopenms/, /pyopenms-viz/, /webapps/, /contribute/ on Netlify preview
  • Verify soft transparent icons/numbers and section spacing
  • Verify contribute hero CTAs and Ways to Contribute card hover
  • Spot-check mobile breakpoints for hub and contribute sections

Tighten section spacing, form embeds, sponsorship/contributor CTAs, and equal-card rules so hover no longer changes card height.

…ero mobile layout.

Move community pages onto dedicated layouts, restore card spacing and CTA sizing, and make the homepage hero wrap, type, and buttons usable on small screens.

Hide the mockup chrome pills, match the eyebrow size, and enlarge the trust notes under the graphic.

- Archived Apps: add breathing room above the References section and
centre the Community opportunity revival band.
- Contribute page: make the secondary contribution cards stack full-width
at every breakpoint >=720px instead of cramming into an inconsistent
4-column row above 1100px, matching the layout already used at md.
- Featured/Affiliated Apps outline buttons (Install, GitHub): fix a
cascade bug where a generic prose-link hover reset
  (.openms-lib-page :is(p, li) a:hover) unintentionally zeroed the
border-color on these buttons via a specificity tiebreak. Restore a
clear hover/focus state - solid navy border (same width as rest),
soft navy background tint, slight scale, and glow - consistent with
the Demo button's motion, on both /featured-apps/ and /affiliated-apps/.

- Remove a duplicate footer-nav override (z-footer.css) that had dropped
the minmax(0, ...) safety net from the base responsive grid, causing a
  real horizontal overflow around 768-1024px.
- Keep the footer links to the right of the logo through md-lg widths
(641-1024px) instead of stacking below it; only genuinely small/mobile
  widths (<=640px) still stack.
- Reorder the two-column layout so the long lists (Community, About) and
short lists (Support, Legal) each share a row, instead of pairing a
2-link list with a 6-link list and leaving a ragged gap.
- Fix a real text-overlap bug: at ~1101-1250px the footer nav fell back to
unequal max-content columns while link text still had white-space:
nowrap, so long items (e.g. "Our Sponsorship Program") spilled into the
next column. Links now always allow wrapping.
- Add row-gap between links so a wrapped link's second line is clearly
  distinguishable from the next link.

…ute/privacy/footer layout

- Rebuild Executive Committee Charter, Code of Conduct, and Report Handling
Manual as plain "wall of text" legal-doc pages with the standard hero
header, restoring the original verbatim policy text and adding a
  footer link for each.
- Add a new Press Kit page with hosted (not GitHub-linked) downloads for
the design manual, logos, and Office templates.
- Update the Governance page's "Two layers of governance" copy and
Executive Committee tile, and add an "Executive Chairperson" tag for
Samuel Wein on the Contributors page.
- On the Contribute page, replace the Code of Conduct band with the
"We encourage" section (with a Report an incident button) and switch
the "Ways to contribute" cards to an equal-size grid.
- Fix the Privacy page: it had inherited stale CSS from an older markup
structure, leaving content flush against the viewport edge and an
unstyled outro CTA; rebuilt the CTA to reuse the governance-style
band, matched the "Who we are" background to the hero, sized the
topic-card numbers to match the sitewide numbered-list style, and
added breathing room around cards and expanded answers.
- Align the footer link columns with the top of the logo, and color the
homepage "Code of Conduct" callout blue.
- Deduplicate content/en/news/GSoC2025.md, which existed as both
  GSoC2025.md and gsoc2025.md due to a case-only rename on a
  case-insensitive filesystem (a conflict the project's own
troubleshooting docs warn about); kept the actively maintained
  lowercase file.
