A macOS menu bar app that brings a Dynamic Island-style interface for interacting with OpenCode.
Note: This project is inspired by Claude Island by @farouqaldori. It is not affiliated with OpenCode or the OpenCode team.
- Notch UI: Animated overlay that expands from the MacBook notch.
- Summon with Hotkey: Double-tap Command (or customize) to open the prompt interface.
- Agent Selection: Choose from available OpenCode agents with a simple
/prefix. - Model Selection: Pick from over 40 AI models from various providers.
- Image Support: Paste images using Cmd+V to include in your prompts.
- Expandable Response Area: Interact using an expandable area for better visibility.
To run OpenCode Island, your Mac must meet these minimum requirements:
- Operating System: macOS version 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
- RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended.
- Storage: At least 100 MB of free space.
To download OpenCode Island, visit the Releases page. You will find the latest version there.
Hereโs how to install it:
- Go to the Releases page.
- Find the latest version of OpenCode Island.
- Click on the
.dmgfile to download. - Open the downloaded file, and drag the OpenCode Island app to your Applications folder.
- Launch OpenCode Island from your Applications folder.
Once you have installed OpenCode Island, follow these steps to start using it:
- Launch the App: Click on the OpenCode Island icon in your menu bar.
- Open the Interface: Double-tap the Command key to summon the prompt interface.
- Select an Agent: Type
/followed by the agent's name to choose from available OpenCode agents. - Choose a Model: Select from over 40 AI models to start your interaction.
- Paste Images: Use Cmd+V to insert images into the prompt area.
- Interact: Type your queries and click send. You will see responses directly in your menu bar.
